Vietnam women's futsal team beat Hong Kong in the opening match of the Asian Finals

As expected, the Vietnamese women's futsal team completely overwhelmed Hong Kong in the opening match of Group B - 2025 Asian Women's Futsal Championship. However, this match was more difficult than expected when the strikers of the Vietnamese women's futsal team missed many opportunities in one day.

It was not until the 14th minute of the first half that the Vietnamese women's futsal team opened the scoring. Thanh Ngan intercepted a pass right next to Hong Kong's goal and made a technical lob to defeat the goalkeeper. After conceding the goal, Hong Kong let Thanh Ngan steal the ball immediately and a tricky shot just a few seconds later helped the Vietnamese women's futsal team lead 2-0.

Despite having a 2-goal advantage, the defense of the Vietnamese women's futsal team continued to make mistakes. After Thuy Trang's indecisive clearance, the Hong Kong players took advantage to score from close range in the 17th minute. Two minutes later, the Vietnamese women's futsal team restored the 2-goal lead thanks to Thu Xuan. The score of 3-1 remained the same until the end of the first half.

In the second half, the Hong Kong team took advantage of the defensive mistakes of the Vietnamese women's futsal team to score two consecutive equalizers. When the score was 3-3, Hong Kong proactively retreated to preserve their draw.

However, the Vietnamese women's futsal team rose up at the right time at the end of the match and scored two consecutive goals from Nguyet Vi and Thanh Ngan. Winning 5-3 against Hong Kong, the Vietnamese women's futsal team temporarily took the lead in Group B after the first round of matches. Before that, Iran only beat the Philippines 1-0.
