The Vietnamese futsal team quickly pushed up their formation after the opening whistle. In the 5th minute, Chau Doan Phat unleashed a powerful low shot, opening the score at 1-0. Just one minute later, Nguyen Thinh Phat took advantage of the opponent's goalkeeper's mistake to double the gap for the red team.
In the 10th minute, Nhan Gia Hung increased the gap to 3-0 with a beautiful diagonal shot. Exploiting the space behind the opponent's defense, the Vietnamese futsal team continued to score two more goals before the end of the first half, with goals from Nguyen Da Hai and Duc Hoa.

Right at the beginning of the second half, Lee Ho Yin scored to reduce the score to 1-5 for Hong Kong (China). This was the best thing Hong Kong did in the match. In the 22nd minute, Tu Minh Quang fired a powerful long-range shot to increase the score to 6-1, re-establishing the 5-goal gap.
In the 33rd minute, Hong Kong's Chow Ka Lok Leo received a red card for fouling Vu Ngoc Anh. Taking advantage of the advantage of having more players, Minh Quang completed his hat-trick, while Nguyen Manh Dung Minh Quang contributed 1 goal, sealing a 9-1 victory for the Vietnamese futsal team.

Evaluating the match, coach Diego Giustozzi expressed his satisfaction: "This is a favorable start, however the goal of the Vietnamese futsal team is to focus on each match. After this victory, we will focus on preparing for the match against host China, taking place on September 22."
