VND/USD exchange rate increases at many banks

On the afternoon of May 8, the exchange rate between the Vietnamese Dong (VND) and the US Dollar (USD) at banks recorded an upward trend, while the central rate and the free market rate decreased.

Specifically, at the State Bank of Vietnam , the central exchange rate of VND against USD on the day is 24,927 VND/USD, down 3 VND compared to May 7.

With a trading band of ±5%, today's ceiling exchange rate is determined to be 26,173 VND/USD and the floor exchange rate is 23,681 VND/USD. The reference exchange rate at the State Bank's Exchange is currently 23,734 - 26,126 VND/USD (buy - sell).

Reference exchange rates between Vietnamese Dong and foreign currencies at the State Foreign Exchange Reserve Management Department:

At Vietcombank , this afternoon, the exchange rate is stable at 25,760 - 26,150 VND (buy - sell), up 20 VND compared to the transaction on May 7 in both buying and selling directions.

At BIDV Bank, the third updated exchange rate of the day is currently at 25,790 - 26,150 VND (buy - sell), an increase of 10 VND in both directions compared to the previous day.

Updated at 1:45 p.m. this afternoon, the exchange rate at VietinBank is 25,799 - 26,159 VND, up 179 VND for buying and 29 VND for selling.

The USD exchange rate on the free market decreased by 30 VND for buying and selling when transactions are currently at 26,400 - 26,500 VND/USD.
