According to plan, the Vietnam U22 team will gather on November 9 under the leadership of Acting Head Coach Dinh Hong Vinh, then go to China to participate in the CFA Team China Panda Cup 2025.

This tournament will take place from November 12 to 18 in Chengdu (Sichuan province, China), gathering four U22 teams including China, Korea, Uzbekistan and Vietnam. Being given the opportunity to participate in this quality playground is expected to help U22 Vietnam have the necessary preparation before the 33rd SEA Games.
In the last time participating in March 2025, also under the guidance of Acting Head Coach Dinh Hong Vinh, the Vietnam U22 team played impressively with an undefeated record (tied with U22 Korea 1-1, drew with U22 Uzbekistan 0-0 and drew with host U22 China 1-1), thereby winning third place overall. Goalkeeper Cao Van Binh was also voted by the Organizing Committee as the best goalkeeper of the tournament.
The CFA Team China Panda Cup 2025 is considered an important stepping stone for the participating teams towards the 2026 AFC U23 Championship Finals. For the Vietnam U22 team, this is a quality international competition, helping the coaching staff continue to perfect the squad, test personnel and tactics, and is an important stepping stone before the sprint stage towards the 33rd SEA Games.
In this training session, U22 Vietnam has gathered the strongest force since the beginning of this year, with members carefully selected through many training sessions and international competitions. Many prominent faces who have worn the National Team jersey continue to participate, such as Tran Trung Kien, Khuat Van Khang, Nguyen Dinh Bac..., along with the pillars who have contributed greatly to the journey to win the 2025 Southeast Asian U23 Championship and win tickets to the 2026 Asian U23 Finals, such as Nguyen Phi Hoang, Nguyen Xuan Bac, Le Van Thuan, Nguyen Thanh Nhan, Nguyen Ngoc My, Pham Ly Duc... Another notable point is the return of striker Bui Vi Hao after a long period of injury treatment.
Immediately after the end of the Panda Cup 2025, the Vietnam U22 team will enter a training session to prepare for the 33rd SEA Games from November 23. During this period, the team will practice in Vung Tau, then leave for Thailand on December 2 to attend the Games.
At the 33rd SEA Games, the U22 Vietnam team is in Group B with U22 Malaysia and U22 Laos. According to the schedule, the team will play against U22 Laos at 6:30 p.m. on December 4, then face U22 Malaysia at 6:30 p.m. on December 11. The matches of Group B will take place at Tinsulanon Stadium (Songkhla). The three group winners and the second-placed team with the best record will advance to the semi-finals. The semi-finals will be held on December 15, while the bronze medal match and the final will take place on December 18, both at Rajamangala Stadium (Bangkok).
The goal of U22 Vietnam is to aim for the championship. Something we have not been able to do at SEA Games 32 under the leadership of Troussier. This is the Games where men's football will not apply the regulation allowing the use of players over the age of U22 like SEA Games 30 and 31. This forces coach Kim Sang-sik to have careful calculations.
Mr. Kim Sang-sik once affirmed: “For me, the goal of the SEA Games is definitely the championship. We try to regain confidence in competition to achieve the goal we set.”
After winning the 2025 Southeast Asian U23 Championship, the Vietnam U23 Team is expected to maintain its form to aim for the 33rd SEA Games championship. VFF President Tran Quoc Tuan emphasized that the 2025 Southeast Asian U23 Championship is the first achievement of the year, and at the same time, it is proof of the right direction in developing youth football.
This is the final stage for U22 Vietnam to prepare for the goal considered the biggest in 2025.
Nam Dinh plays Hanoi FC in round 11 of V.League
The highlight of round 11 of V.League 2025-2026 is the match between Nam Dinh and Hanoi FC at Thien Truong Stadium. Both teams had a difficult start to the season this year, but now there is a difference.
Under the leadership of new coach Harry Kewell, Hanoi has somewhat regained its form and built an effective playing style. 2/4 wins in the last rounds have helped the Capital team temporarily rise to 7th place on the rankings with 14 points.
Meanwhile, Nam Dinh is sinking deeper and deeper. Despite the changes on the coaching bench, it has not brought about efficiency in the playing style as well as the performance of each player. Most recently, they lost to Becamex TP Ho Chi Minh and struggled to hold the two bottom teams, Da Nang and Hoang Anh Gia Lai, to a draw. This has caused Nam Dinh to sink deeper with only 9 points.
At Pleiku Stadium, Hoang Anh Gia Lai will host Dong A Thanh Hoa. This is an important match for both teams at the bottom of the table. A win will help them turn things around and get a better ranking.
Another notable match is Ho Chi Minh City Police vs Ninh Binh at Thong Nhat. Coach Le Huynh Duc's team is expected to face many difficulties against the opponent leading the table.
In addition, Hanoi Police will welcome Hong Linh Ha Tinh at Hang Day Stadium, promising many exciting developments when the Central representative plays very uncomfortably.
The remaining matches in round 11 are PVF-CAND - The Cong Viettel, Song Lam Nghe An - Becamex TP Ho Chi Minh, Hai Phong - SHB Da Nang. ( HH )
