Avia-pro , citing Russian military expert Mikhail Zvinchuk, said that recently, the Ukrainian army has mobilized many small landing ships to the right bank of the Dnipro River in Kherson. This is considered a preparation for a plan to cross the river to attack the Russian defense line on the right bank of the Dnipro River.

"The enemy is trying to launch attacks on the Russian defense line on the Dnipro River, using small landing craft. The advantage of the Ukrainian army is that the Russian defense line stretches on the left bank of the Dnipro River and patrolling and controlling the entire line is very difficult due to constant artillery fire.

However, the inability to maintain logistics for the attacking force is a huge obstacle to this plan. If they want to move deep inside the defense line, ammunition and weapons need to be continuously supplied," said Mr. Zvinchuk.

Previously, at the end of February, information about Kiev concentrating a large force on the right bank of the Dnipro River to conduct a counterattack was also recorded from pro-Russian officials in southern Ukraine.

On the Russian side, the country's military announced that it had repeatedly repelled the Ukrainian army's landing attacks in the Dnipro River area, causing heavy damage to enemy troops and military equipment.

On April 18, images of a Ukrainian Project 376 Yaroslavets landing ship being sunk by a Russian Lancet suicide drone on the Dnipro River were also recorded. According to some sources, this ship belongs to the Ukrainian Navy's river fleet and was on its way to transport troops to the Zaporizhia nuclear power plant area to retake this important energy facility.

Also in the southern province of Zaporizhia, on April 22, spokesman for the Eastern Operational Group of the Russian army Alexander Gordeyev announced that the country's army had attacked four Ukrainian defensive positions in the past day.

"Our artillery units struck four defensive positions and two temporary bases of the enemy in the settlements of Velikaya Novosyolka, Novosyolka, Malinovka and Belogorye in Zaporizhia. Fifty Ukrainian soldiers were eliminated from the fighting," Gordeyev said.

According to Mr. Gordeyev, soldiers of the Eastern Task Force used thermobaric rocket launchers to attack the Ukrainian base in the "fire pit" Vuhledar in Donetsk.

The continuous Russian offensive has made it impossible for the Ukrainian army to carry out combat missions in this area. Mr. Gordeyev revealed that many Ukrainian howitzers, mortars and counter-battery radar stations were destroyed after Russian shelling in Vuhleadar.
