Mobilizing resources to reach 400 billion VND to implement activities in Humanitarian Month 2025 - Lang Son Newspaper and Radio and Television Station

With the meaning of "Peak month of all people doing humanitarian work",   This year's Humanitarian Month continues to promote the positive results achieved in the past years of Humanitarian Month, spreading charitable activities, expanding the network of sharing, connecting the community, demonstrating a profound humanitarian spirit to support the community, especially those in difficult circumstances.

Humanitarian Month 2025 with peak activities from May 8 (International Red Cross and Red Crescent Day) to May 19 (birthday of President Ho Chi Minh - Founder and first Honorary President of the Vietnam Red Cross Society).

Humanitarian activities help support vulnerable groups in society.

The purpose of the Humanitarian Month activities in 2025 is to demonstrate the role and responsibility in humanitarian work and the practical response of the Vietnam Red Cross Society to the event of commemorating the 50th anniversary of the Liberation of the South, National Reunification, and the 135th birthday of President Ho Chi Minh; spread the tradition of patriotism, the spirit of solidarity and humanity of the Vietnamese people; widely propagate among all classes of people about humanitarian values, about the Movement "Good people, good deeds - Joining hands to build a compassionate community", gradually changing awareness about humanitarian work; advocate policies for Party committees and authorities at all levels for Red Cross activities and the work of building and developing the Association; strengthen the leadership of the Party and the management of the State in humanitarian work; strengthen activities to mobilize resources and build funds to prepare resources for humanitarian assistance activities of the Association system in 2025; Implement a sustainable peak support campaign for vulnerable groups in the community.

During the Humanitarian Month of 2025, the entire Association organized a series of activities to strive to achieve the following targets: 200,000 people participated in walking/running in response to the Campaign "Millions of steps of kindness - Continuing the golden history" on the online sports platform vRace, reaching 5,000,000km, equivalent to a fundraising budget of 5 billion VND to implement humanitarian assistance activities; supporting 100,000 humanitarian addresses (individuals and groups) with a variety of activities; organizing 50 medical examination, health consultation, medicine provision, and gift giving programs with a scale of 300 to 500 people/program; supporting the construction of 500 Red Cross houses (at a cost of 50 million VND/household); supporting the livelihoods of 500 poor households in difficult circumstances, at a cost of 15 million VND/household; Support the construction/repair of kitchens, clean water, and bookcases for 50 schools with difficult conditions, with a value of 300 million VND/school; mobilize 5,000 people to register to donate human tissues and organs; train and practice safety skills and first aid; organize a Charity Day to honor "Good people, good deeds - Joining hands to build a compassionate community"; deploy humanitarian projects and tasks.

The Association will mobilize resources of 400 billion VND to implement activities during the Humanitarian Month and proactively be ready to respond to requests for humanitarian assistance in 2025 (in cash, goods, through memorandums of understanding, cooperation agreements, sponsorship contracts, etc.)
