Within the framework of the official visit of General Secretary To Lam and his wife to the Russian Federation and to attend the 80th Anniversary of Victory Day in the Great Patriotic War, Mrs. Ngo Phuong Ly visited the Moscow State University of Fine Arts named after VISurikov and the Russian State University of Cinematography SAGerasimov (VGIK).
At the Moscow State University of Fine Arts named after VISurikov, Mrs. Ngo Phuong Ly visited the exhibition of paintings by Vietnamese and Russian artists, interacted with artists from both countries and visited the painting studio of the School's Principal.
Rector of the Moscow State University of Fine Arts named after Visurikov, People's Artist of the Russian Federation, Academician of the Russian Academy of Arts, Mr. Anotoly Lyubanvin, said that this is one of the leading art universities in Russia, the successor of the Moscow State School of Painting, Sculpture and Architecture, founded in 1843.
The school is renowned for training artists and art theorists in the fields of training and expertise in painting, graphics, sculpture, architecture and fine arts, and art history.
Sharing here, Mrs. Ngo Phuong Ly said that the school is not only the cradle that trains talented Russian artists but also helps nurture and develop Vietnamese artistic talents.
Madam Ngo Phuong Ly recalled famous Vietnamese artists such as painter Tran Luu Hau - one of the representative artists of Vietnamese painting during the resistance war and also the teacher of many generations of famous artists of modern Vietnamese fine arts, or oil painter Phung Quoc Tri; sculptor Dao Chau Hai; painter Nguyen Quang Vinh, painter Nguyen Phuoc Sanh... all of whom grew up and shone from this school.

Mrs. Ngo Phuong Ly and Principal Anotoly Lyubanvin visited the painting exhibition "Vietnamese-Russian Colors" displaying works created by Vietnamese and Russian artists.
Through the works, the exhibition helps viewers understand more about the painting style of each country, the beauty of the land and people of Vietnam and Russia.
In particular, the works of Vietnamese artists using colors to describe the Land of White Birch have shown that the Vietnamese soul is in the Russian heart and vice versa, the Russian soul is in the Vietnamese heart.
At the State Tretyakov Museum - located opposite the Moscow State University of Fine Arts named after Visurikov, Mrs. Ngo Phuong Ly was introduced to paintings representing the Russian style from ancient art of the 11th-17th centuries to painting of the 18th-19th centuries and art of the 20th century. This is one of the largest art museums in the world , founded in 1856, owning more than 190,000 works of Russian art from the 11th century to the present.
The museum covers an area of 82,000m2, including 62 main galleries and 12 exhibition halls. Especially with its huge collection and priceless masterpieces, Tretyakov is worthy of being a cultural symbol, a "precious pearl" in the Russian cultural heritage.
Visiting the Russian State University of Cinematography SA Gerasimov (VGIK), the School's Rector, People's Artist of the Russian Federation Mr. Vladimir Malyshev introduced the School, the exhibition of paintings by artist Ngo Manh Lan and the School's artists, and introduced his wife to the Department of Graphics and Artificial Intelligence. This is one of the oldest and most prestigious film training institutions in the world, founded in 1919 and considered the first film school in the world.
With its positive contributions in training generations of film staff and artists, contributing to strengthening and developing the friendly and cooperative relationship between Vietnam and the Russian Federation, in 2009,the President of Vietnam decided to award the Friendship Medal to the Russian State University of Cinema SA Gerasimov.

Mrs. Ngo Phuong Ly could not hide her emotion when visiting the school with a long tradition and a great role in the seventh art.
In particular, this is also the place where the late Associate Professor, Doctor, People's Artist Ngo Manh Lan - her father - studied and was considered a student who always achieved outstanding achievements at the school.
Not only that, few people know that many famous artists such as Bui Dinh Hac, Nguyen Khac Loi, Nguyen Thi Hong Ngát… all grew up from this school and are “big trees” in the Vietnamese revolutionary cinema, with cinematographic works bearing the mark of the times and becoming precious spiritual heritage of the Vietnamese people.
Films such as "Sao thang tam", "Ha Noi 12 days and nights" or "Duong ve que me" not only left a mark in the hearts of the Vietnamese people but also showed the intersection between two cinemas: one is the technique and profound artistic thinking from Russia, the other is the cultural identity and aspiration for independence and peace of the Vietnamese people. These are films that not only have artistic value but are also the common memory of the Vietnamese people about a heroic period.
And perhaps, the image of Russia with its birch forests, sparkling church domes, poetic harbors, portraits of ordinary Russians in traditional costumes... created with emotional brushstrokes inspired the Lady to continue that colorful language.
The School's Principal, Mr. Vladimir Malyshev, hopes that in the coming time, the two countries will continue their joint filmmaking cooperation activities, and that more Vietnamese students will come to VGIK to study and develop their art, thereby helping to increase exchanges, share experiences and connect Vietnamese-Russian art lovers.
Cultural exchange and learning activities between the two countries have helped connect the hearts of Vietnamese and Russian people, thereby contributing to the cultural exchange between the two countries.
Previously, in Azerbaijan, a group of Vietnamese artists also held an exhibition introducing their paintings to Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev and his wife.
The exhibition of paintings here is a follow-up to the visit of Ms. Leyla Aliyeva, currently Vice President of the Heydar Aliyev Foundation (Azerbaijan), to the Vietnam Museum of Fine Arts at the end of April.
This is also considered one of the first activities to promote joint cooperation projects between the two sides in the coming time, thereby introducing to international friends the landscape, people, culture, etc. of Vietnam./.
