On the occasion of the 50th anniversary of the Liberation of the South and National Reunification Day (April 30, 1975 - April 30, 2025), Van Lam district presented gifts to 33 people with meritorious services and relatives of people with meritorious services to the revolution in the district, including 2 Vietnamese Heroic Mothers; 18 seriously wounded and sick soldiers and 13 brave soldiers who defeated the Americans. Each gift includes 1 million VND in cash and gifts worth 300,000 VND. The total cost of the gifts is 42.9 million VND, drawn from the district budget.

The district established 10 delegations led by leaders of the District Party Committee, People's Council, People's Committee, and Fatherland Front Committee to directly visit and present gifts to the above cases.
