Van Ninh has nearly 2,193 hectares of forest at high risk of fire.

According to the Van Ninh Forest Protection Department, the district currently has more than 28,569 hectares of forest, with a coverage rate of 50.59%. During the dry season this year, nearly 2,193 hectares of planted forests in 35 sub-areas were identified as being at high risk of fire. Of which, about 659 hectares belong to the Bac Khanh Hoa Protective Forest Management Board; the rest are located in the communes of Dai Lanh, Van Phuoc, Van Long, Van Binh, Van Tho, Van Khanh, Van Phu, Van Luong, Van Thang, Van Thanh and Xuan Son.

To proactively prevent forest fires, Van Ninh Forest Protection Department has inspected and urged forest owners to seriously implement forest fire prevention and fighting plans; increased inspections in key areas, and prepared means and forces to respond when situations arise. At the same time, the forest protection force has also stepped up propaganda and mobilized people to raise awareness of forest protection and actively participate in forest fire prevention and fighting.
