Van Tuan challenges Ngoc Luong, competes for 60 kg belt

After the shock of defeating Pham Van Nam at LC23, Le Van Tuan chose the most difficult way. That is to return to the 60 kg class to hunt for the second belt. If he continues to win, the 9X boxer will become the first Vietnamese boxer to hold two championship belts at the same time in two different weight classes.

On the other side of the octagon, Tran Ngoc Luong brought a near-perfect wall. His record of 8 wins - 1 loss in the professional arena and the fact that he has never lost to any domestic opponent shows that this boxer deserves a chance to compete for the 60 kg belt.

Both have a solid foundation in standing combat, but the difference lies in jiu-jitsu. Van Tuan is the owner of two rare chokes, the buggy choke and the D'Arce choke, which are "unique moves" rarely seen in Vietnamese MMA. Meanwhile, Ngoc Luong is a national jiu-jitsu champion, famous for his ability to control the ground, having made many opponents surrender with exemplary chokes.

Equally exciting was the women's 52 kg title match between "Jiu Jitsu teacher" Lo Thi Phung and Nguyen Vu Quynh Hoa. Lo Thi Phung demonstrated her grappling prowess by defeating all three opponents she had met at LC with her chokes. Quynh Hoa is a fighter with a background in Muay Thai, Sanshou and Traditional Martial Arts. The confrontation between the two promises to be a battle between a pure grappler and a flexible striker, where each exchange of blows can decide the outcome.

In addition to the two title matches, LC25 also heated up the arena with a rematch in the MMA Duo format. The kickboxing duo Nguyen Xuan Phuong and Nguyen Ngoc Thuc were determined to get revenge on the Raptor MMA members. In their first meeting, Xuan Phuong and Ngoc Thuc lost after only 55 seconds to the pair Nguyen Tien Long and Nguyen Trung Hai, leaving behind one of the most noisy matches of the tournament because of their back-and-forth provocations.

This time, Nguyen Tien Long is teaming up with his new teammate Nguyen Thanh Thoan, making the tactical equation even more unpredictable. The four fighters appearing on the stage together promise to bring a high tempo, many coordinated moves and moments that can “end the match” in a split second.

LC25 has therefore become the most anticipated competition night of Vietnamese MMA in August. LC25 will take place at 8:00 p.m. on August 16 at Cam Ranh Square.
