On May 29, a delegation of artists from Ho Chi Minh City, within the framework of the Journey to the Source "Following the Footsteps of the 1975 Spring General Offensive and Uprising" organized by the Propaganda Department and the Mass Mobilization Department of the Ho Chi Minh City Party Committee, visited Buon Ma Thuot city - a land bearing the mark of revolutionary struggle and resounding historical victory.

The delegation visited the Buon Ma Thuot Prison, one of the prominent “red addresses” of the Central Highlands. Since 1930, this prison was used by the French colonialists to detain and exile loyal communist soldiers, including many famous names such as Ho Tung Mau, Phan Dang Luu, Nguyen Chi Thanh, To Huu, Hong Chuong Bui San, Tran Van Quang, Ngo Duc Do, Ngo Xuan Ham, etc.
“This place is not only a historical relic, but also a symbol of the vitality of resistance art. Poetry, music , painting… once flourished in the darkness of the prison to fuel the revolutionary spirit,” musician Pham Hoang Long emotionally shared.
The delegation also visited the Dak Lak Provincial Museum, where a model of the Buon Ma Thuot battle - the key battle that opened the 1975 Spring General Offensive and Uprising - is on display.

Buon Ma Thuot, with its tragic past and its strong vitality today, has become an important highlight in the journey back to the source. This journey is not only a tribute to the past, but also an opportunity for artists to look back at their own mission: to continue to create, connect and preserve the sacred values of the nation with heart and talent.
