Seen from above, Ha Lien village (now Ha Lien residential group, Ninh Ha ward, Ninh Hoa town) looks like a kite flying in the middle of a large aquaculture area in Nha Phu lagoon.

The village is about 6km southeast of the town center and about 30km north of Nha Trang city. Recently, this place has attracted many locals and tourists from other localities to visit and experience.

Ha Lien is located on a land of about 2 hectares, home to 330 households and over 1,200 people. The elders in the village said that this place was formed over 370 years ago, during the Nguyen Dynasty.

Ha Lien village stands out with its close-together houses, bright red tiled roofs, most of which are level four houses.

The land here is mainly saline mud, acid sulfate soil, mixed with alluvial sand, mangrove trees separated into ponds to help people develop aquaculture.

The road to Ha Lien village is concrete and the only way, and the main means of transportation for the people is boats and canoes.

Every day, people wake up early to visit the ponds of crabs, sea worms... to bring to the central market of the town to sell, or traders come to the place to buy.

Late in the afternoon, villagers hang hammocks in vacant lots to enjoy the cool breeze.

Children gathered together to play. "Every afternoon, the wind from the sea blows in very cool," said a child in the village.

The common paths in the village are about 3m wide, enough for motorbikes to pass and for a few household items. Families in the village have lived together for many generations.

In front of the village gate there is a pagoda and a shrine, a place for cultural and spiritual activities, a bond between the community, creating a peaceful and ancient space for Ha Lien.
Mr. Nguyen Minh Nhat, Chairman of Ninh Ha Ward People's Committee, assessed that Ha Lien village has great potential for developing community tourism due to its unique location, beautiful landscapes, and diverse ecosystem. The Nha Phu lagoon area, including Ha Lien village, is being actively promoted by the local government to boost tourism development.
Recently, the village was awarded the certificate of "Top 7 Impressions of Vietnam" in 2024 for its impressive countryside beauty seen from above. "This is one of the bases for Ninh Hoa town to build a plan for community tourism activities for Ha Lien village," Mr. Nhat informed.
