This is one of the eight world biosphere reserves in Vietnam recognized by UNESCO. Therefore, Cat Tien National Park is one of the attractive destinations for domestic and foreign tourists.

Mr. Pham Xuan Thinh - Director of Cat Tien National Park, said: Because of its biodiversity, this place is known as the "home of animals". Here, there are nearly 100 species of animals, 94 species of reptiles, 903 insects and hundreds of species of precious wood. Coming to Cat Tien National Park, visitors will have the opportunity to see with their own eyes rare wild animals listed in the Red Book such as elephants, langurs, gaurs, pangolins, lorises, yellow-cheeked gibbons, deer, antelopes, weasels... and hundreds of species of birds.

To explore rare wild animals, Cat Tien National Park Management Board has opened tours for tourists to watch animals at night. Starting from 7pm every day until late at night, on open-top trucks, tourists will be transported to grasslands to watch animals. Here, Cat Tien National Park guides will shine flashlights for tourists to admire nocturnal wild animals such as deer, wild deer, wild cats, civets, etc.

According to statistics, Cat Tien National Park currently has more than 340 species of forest birds, accounting for more than 40% of the total bird species in Vietnam. Therefore, during the forest trekking trips, visitors can easily encounter and admire rare primates such as black-shanked douc langurs and yellow-cheeked gibbons; and watch rare birds such as hornbills and white-necked cranes on the tops of hundreds of years old trees.

In particular, from the Cat Tien National Park management area, after traveling nearly 20 km by car, visitors will experience a walking tour through the old forest for more than 5 km to Bau Sau to explore the wonders of nature in the old forest. Here, there are more than 600 wild freshwater crocodiles swimming freely in the water foraging for food. At many times, visitors can also admire a herd of gaurs with dozens of individuals grazing from afar.

In addition to animals, Cat Tien National Park has a very rich flora with more than 1,650 species of wood. Rare and precious wood species include rosewood, red oak, rosewood, and rosewood. In particular, Cat Tien National Park is preserving many ancient tung trees with a base diameter of tens of meters, a giant root system, and a towering trunk that is over 500 years old.
According to the Cat Tien National Park Management Board, with the existing biodiversity being preserved and developed, on average each year the unit welcomes 55,000 - 65,000 visitors to visit, research and study.
