On April 17, information from U Minh Ha National Park, the unit has just announced the cancellation of the 5,000m forest walking competition as part of the "U Minh Forest Fragrance" sports festival, part of the series of events of the program " Ca Mau - Destination 2024".

According to the plan, the "U Minh Forest Fragrance" sports festival will be held at U Minh Ha National Park, including 6 competitions: Cross-country running in 2 distances (500m and 2,500m); trekking through the forest (distance 5,000m); racing canoe (distance 800m); competitive swimming on a sampan; eel catching competition; pilot arrangement of space for displaying agricultural products, performing typical local dishes and drinks.
The trekking activity will introduce the potential of U Minh Ha National Park through practical experiences to visitors from inside and outside the province.
At the same time, this is also an opportunity to promote and develop cultural features, folk sports activities, and tourism typical of the people and land of U Minh; at the same time, it is an opportunity to exchange experiences and explore the products of U Minh Ha forest.
However, the current dry weather situation is very complicated, the forest fire warning has reached level V (extremely dangerous level).
Therefore, the sports festival organizers agreed to cancel the 5,000m jungle walking event because this activity moves quite deep into the forest and is difficult to control.
