Taking advantage of the humorous material - a popular genre in the Vietnamese market - Laughter Across the Borders has proven its appeal when it dominated the box office on the first day of early screening (November 13) with 35,000 tickets sold. The film is currently maintaining its leading position on the revenue chart and receiving many positive responses from the audience, promising to create a fever during its release.
Directed by Kim Chang-ju, Laughing Across Borders follows the journey of Cho Jin-bong (Ryu Seung-ryong), a retired national archer who is now assigned to train the Bolédor archery team in South America on the condition that they win a medal. After surviving a life-threatening incident, Jin-bong lands in the Amazon jungle, where he meets a trio of indigenous people with extraordinary archery skills.
Seizing the golden opportunity, Jin-bong teams up with the "quack" interpreter Bbang-sik (Jin Sun-kyu) to convince the Bolédor government to let these three natives represent the country in the international archery competition taking place in Seoul. From here, the story explodes with countless humorous situations.

The film was released in Vietnam with two versions: subtitles and dubbing. The dubbing version features actor Kieu Minh Tuan (as Jin-bong), actor-director Trung Lun (Bbang-sik), actor La Thanh (gangster on the island)...
