[Video] Ensuring the early implementation of the Hanoi Convention

On October 26, an international press conference was held to announce the conclusion of the signing ceremony of the United Nations Convention against Transnational Crime – the Hanoi Convention. Senior Lieutenant General Pham The Tung, Deputy Minister of Public Security, and Permanent Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs Nguyen Minh Vu chaired the press conference.

Senior Lieutenant General Pham The Tung, Deputy Minister of Public Security , said that the two-day signing ceremony of the Hanoi Convention welcomed more than 2,500 delegates from more than 110 national delegations and more than 50 research organizations and agencies around the world, demonstrating the international community's widespread interest in this event.

This is the first event in which all languages ​​of the countries in the United Nations were used. In two days, 72 countries signed the Convention, of which 64 countries signed at the main event and it is considered one of the largest convention signing ceremonies of the United Nations in the past 10 years.

Aspects of the Convention relating to combating cybercrime were exchanged and discussed in a constructive spirit at more than 35 side events parallel to the plenary session. International delegations highly appreciated the organization of the reception and logistics during the event.
