[Video] Strengthening decentralization and delegation of power, ensuring correct and adequate calculation of public service prices

Continuing the 10th Session, on the morning of November 3, the National Assembly listened to the Presentation and Report on the draft Law amending and supplementing a number of articles of the Law on Prices, under the direction of Vice Chairman of the National Assembly Vu Hong Thanh.

Authorized by the Prime Minister, Minister of Finance Nguyen Van Thang presented the Proposal, stating that the amendment aims to reduce and simplify administrative procedures in price appraisal activities, remove institutional "bottlenecks", ensure consistency with the legal system and compliance with international commitments. The draft law continues to implement the policy of strengthening decentralization and delegation of power, ensuring the correct and adequate calculation of public service prices, increasing the initiative of localities and units in price management. Presenting the Verification Report, Chairman of the Economic and Financial Committee Phan Van Mai basically agreed with the draft Law, and at the same time proposed that the Government clearly stipulate the responsibilities of the People's Committees at the commune level in implementing price stabilization, ensuring the feasibility of resources and human resources when implementing the two-level government model.
