On June 25, on the occasion of visiting India to co-chair the 13th Political Consultation and the 10th Strategic Dialogue between the Vietnamese and Indian Foreign Ministries, Comrade Nguyen Manh Cuong, Member of the Party Central Committee, Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs, paid a courtesy call to Indian Foreign Minister S. Jaishankar.

At the meeting, Deputy Minister Nguyen Manh Cuong conveyed the greetings of Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs Bui Thanh Son to Minister S. Jaishankar.

Sharing that Vietnam attaches importance to its relations with India and always considers India one of Vietnam's most important partners, the Deputy Minister emphasized that the two countries have high political trust, share visions on regional and international issues and have common interests in further developing bilateral relations, especially when both countries enter a crucial stage to realize the vision of becoming developed countries, with India in 2047 and Vietnam in 2045.

Informing about some results achieved at the 13th Political Consultation and the 10th Strategic Dialogue that just took place, Deputy Minister Nguyen Manh Cuong emphasized his desire to coordinate with ministries and branches of the two countries to effectively implement cooperation areas, especially defense - security, trade, science - technology, culture and people-to-people exchange.

Expressing satisfaction with the strong and effective development of Vietnam-India relations in most areas in recent times, Minister S. Jaishankar agreed that the two countries need to have major activities, including high-level delegation exchanges as well as meaningful activities to celebrate the important milestone of 10 years of establishing the Comprehensive Strategic Partnership; at the same time, proposing major orientations to bring the relationship between the two countries into a new stage of development, meeting common interests in the context of many fluctuations in the regional and world situation.

Suggesting that both sides pay more attention to trade, investment, energy and connectivity cooperation, Minister S. Jaishankar hopes that India and ASEAN countries will soon complete the review of the ASEAN-India Trade in Goods Agreement (AITIGA).

Minister Jaishankar agreed to soon arrange the time to hold the 19th Meeting of the Vietnam-India Foreign Ministers' Bilateral Cooperation Committee in 2025.

The two sides agreed to increase the exchange of high-level visits, emphasizing that high-level visits are an opportunity to bring relations to a new height; at the same time, they affirmed to continue supporting each other at multilateral forums as well as on regional and international issues of mutual concern.
