A delegation from the Ministry of National Defense of Vietnam led by Lieutenant General Pham Truong Son, Deputy Chief of the General Staff of the Vietnam People's Army, attended LIMA 2025 from May 18-23 at the invitation of the Malaysian Ministry of Defense.

Within the framework of the exhibition, the delegation attended the opening ceremony, visited booths and indoor and outdoor display areas of many leading defense enterprises and corporations in the world .

The delegation also had meetings and contacts with representatives of the Ministry of Defense and businesses of various countries.

At the meetings, Lieutenant General Pham Truong Son expressed his gratitude to the Ministries of Defense of various countries, businesses and defense corporations for sending delegations to attend and exhibit at the second Vietnam International Defense Exhibition (December 19-22, 2024).

The head of the Vietnamese delegation also hopes to continue receiving the attention, support and active participation of partners at future exhibitions.

This is the 17th LIMA since 1991, co-organized by the Ministry of Defence and Global Exhibition & Convention Corporation (GEC) on Langkawi Island, Kedah state.

The organizers said this was the largest exhibition ever, attracting 860 exhibitors - including 426 international companies and 434 local companies - from 24 countries to participate in maritime and aerospace pavilions in both the commercial and defense sectors on a total exhibition area of ​​16,000 square meters.

This year's exhibition attracted about 40,000 visitors, trade and high-ranking delegates from the Ministries of Defense and militaries of various countries.

During the exhibition, many air and sea demonstrations took place with the participation of 57 air force aircraft and 39 naval ships from Malaysia and several other countries.

In addition to exhibitions, air and sea demonstrations, LIMA 2025 also features seminars, exchanges and defense trade signings.

The exhibition themes at LIMA 2025 focus on the following areas: defense technology, space, maritime, aviation, unmanned technology, cybersecurity, electric aircraft, sustainable development andeducation .

In addition to indoor and outdoor exhibition areas, the exhibition also features an on-water display area and displays of modern warships and military aircraft.

The Vietnamese Ministry of National Defense sending a delegation to LIMA 2025 is a meaningful defense foreign affairs activity to effectively implement the Party and State's policy on building and developing Vietnam's defense industry in a proactive, self-reliant, dual-purpose and modern direction./.
