The Deputy Minister affirmed Vietnam's consistent stance of supporting the two-state solution.
Accordingly, Vietnam supports the establishment of an independent Palestinian state, with the pre-1967 borders and East Jerusalem as its capital, living in peace and security alongside the state of Israel, on the basis of compliance with international law and relevant United Nations resolutions.
For his part, Ambassador Saadi Salama expressed his gratitude and emphasized the affection of the Palestinian people as well as the Ambassador himself for Vietnam.
At the meeting, the two sides agreed to further promote the close Vietnam-Palestine relationship and soon organize political consultations between the two countries' Foreign Ministries.
In particular, on the occasion of the 50th anniversary of the Palestine Liberation Organization (PLO) establishing its permanent office in Hanoi (1976-2026), the two sides highly appreciated the significance and agreed to jointly organize a series of events to introduce valuable images of the traditional friendship between the two brotherly peoples.
