Vietnam Airlines launched a new direct flight between Hanoi and Melbourne, witnessed by the Prime Minister of Vietnam and the Prime Minister of Australia on the morning of June 4.
On the occasion of Australian Prime Minister Anthony Albanese’s visit to Vietnam and the 50th anniversary of diplomatic relations between the two countries, Vietnam Airlines announced a new direct flight route between Hanoi and Melbourne. The first flight will be operated from June 15 with a frequency of two flights per week on Thursdays and Sundays.
Vietnam Airlines representative assessed that the new flight route between Hanoi and Melbourne will create favorable conditions for passengers who want to travel , visit relatives, work or study in Australia's second largest city.

With the opening of new routes, Vietnam Airlines is the airline with the most direct flights and the highest frequency between Vietnam and Australia. Accordingly, the airline operates four direct flights from Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh City to Sydney and Melbourne with a total frequency of up to 18 flights per week.
