Honoring 31 Professors and Associate Professors in Educational Sciences in 2025

Previously, on November 19, 2025, Minister of Education and Training Nguyen Kim Son, Chairman of the State Council of Professors, signed Decision 79/QD-HDGSNN recognizing the qualifications of Professor and Associate Professor in 2025 for 900 candidates, including 71 Professor candidates and 829 Associate Professor candidates. Among them, there are 2 Professors and 29 Associate Professors in the field of Educational Sciences.

Congratulating the teachers who have just been recognized with the titles of Professor and Associate Professor in 2025, Prof. Dr. Pham Hong Quang - Member of the State Council of Professors, Chairman of the Council of Professors of Educational Sciences - commented that this is the personal joy of the teachers, their families, and also the joy of the agencies and units.

Candidates who meet the standards for the titles of Professor and Associate Professor were present at the ceremony.

The recognition of the titles of Professor and Associate Professor is a process, confirmed through training and research, and is also the result of the serious work of the Council of Professors of the institution, the Council of Professors of the industry, and the State Council of Professors. The recognition of the titles of Professor and Associate Professor is a valuable addition to the team of scientists specializing in Educational Sciences.

Prof. Dr. Pham Hong Quang expressed his hope that Professors and Associate Professors would continue to promote their responsibility towards the school, the industry, and students over the past time, achieving many achievements in training and scientific research. In their joy and honor, they need to attach their responsibility to the country in the new context.

Associate Professor, Dr. Duong Nghia Bang - Deputy Chief of Office of the State Council of Professors informed: 2025 is the 7th year of implementing the work of considering and recognizing the qualifications of Professor and Associate Professor titles according to Decision No. 37/2018/QD-TTg of the Prime Minister. This year is the year with a record number of Professor and Associate Professor candidates participating in the consideration with nearly 1,300 teachers registering.

After attending the training sessions of the State Council of Professors, 1,073 teachers submitted their applications to the local professorial councils. By November 19, 2025, the Minister and Chairman of the State Council of Professors signed the decision to recognize 900 teachers as meeting the standards of Professor and Associate Professor; of which 71 teachers met the standards of Professor and 829 teachers met the standards of Associate Professor.

In recent years, in addition to candidates being considered at 3 council levels (Institution, Industry, State), the Office of the State Council of Professors has conducted the review of all candidates' profiles on the internet system. The review work is carried out carefully, thoughtfully and with social criticism. All feedbacks are thoroughly considered and resolved by the State Council of Professors and the Industry Council of Professors.

Speaking at the ceremony, new Professor Nguyen Danh Nam - Head of the Department of Training and Student Management, Thai Nguyen University - shared: With the new assigned tasks and responsibilities, we will try our best to contribute more to the education cause, actively participate in community service activities and research, and provide policy advice to the state.

After the honoring ceremony, the delegates offered incense at the special relic site of Van Mieu - Quoc Tu Giam, visited President Ho Chi Minh at the K9 - Da Chong relic site and held a scientific seminar with the theme: Orientation of educational scientific research in the context of continuing to comprehensively innovate education and training.
