Vinh Long: Two high school male students fought because of a conflict from middle school

Due to a conflict at the junior high school level, two male students at the Center for Vocational Education and Continuing Education (VET) in Vinh Long fought in class.

On April 2, social media groups shared a 32-second clip, recording two male students, believed to be studying at the Mang Thit District Continuing Education Center ( Vinh Long ), fighting in class during recess.

Notably, the incident was not stopped by classmates, but instead they cheered, encouraged, and used their phones to record it.

On the same afternoon, Mr. Tran Kim Tien, Director of the Mang Thit District Continuing Education Center, reported to the Vinh Long Department of Education and Training.

Accordingly, the incident occurred at 2:15 p.m. on March 31, in classroom 10/4 of the Mang Thit District Continuing Education Center. The male students who fought were TKD and LGN; the student who filmed the clip was PTĐ (also in class 10/4). The initial cause was determined to be that the students had conflicts since middle school.

According to the report, D. thought that N. was looking at him “dirty” so he deliberately provoked and hit his friend first. During the fight, neither of them used any weapons and D. used his phone to record it. The incident happened during recess so the teacher was not present in the classroom to stop it in time.

After the incident, the homeroom teacher notified the parents, the offending student and related students to coordinate handling.

During the meeting, the Director of the Mang Thit District Continuing Education Center analyzed the mistakes and the incident that affected the reputation of the industry and the center... At the same time, he reminded the students to admit their mistakes and not repeat them. He asked the students to delete the clip and not continue sharing it.

The Center will establish a Student Disciplinary Council and hold a meeting of the Disciplinary Council members on April 3 to vote on disciplinary measures appropriate to the level of violation of each student.

Based on the regulations, the Disciplinary Council plans to impose a disciplinary measure on the two students who fought, which is to suspend them from school for one week. During the disciplinary period, the two students must review and resolve to correct their shortcomings in the future.
