On the afternoon of April 25, Vinh Phuc Provincial Party Committee held the 42nd Conference of the Provincial Party Executive Committee, term XVII, 2020 - 2025.

At the Conference, the Executive Committee of the Vinh Phuc Provincial Party Committee discussed and unanimously approved the draft Resolution on adjusting the names of 25/36 commune-level administrative units (CUs) after the rearrangement in Resolution No. 43 dated April 16, 2025 of the Provincial Party Committee on approving the Project on rearranging commune-level administrative units in 2025 of Vinh Phuc province.
Specifically: Song Lo commune was renamed Tam Son commune, established from 3 commune-level administrative units: Tam Son town and the communes: Dong Que, Tan Lap of Song Lo district.
Song Lo 1 commune was renamed Song Lo commune, established from 4 commune-level administrative units: Tu Yen, Dong Thinh, Duc Bac, Yen Thach of Song Lo district; Song Lo 2 commune was renamed Hai Luu commune, established from 4 commune-level administrative units: Nhan Dao, Hai Luu, Don Nhan, Phuong Khoan of Song Lo district; Song Lo 3 commune was renamed Yen Lang commune, established from 2 commune-level administrative units: Quang Yen, Lang Cong of Song Lo district.
Lap Thach 1 commune was renamed Tien Lu commune, established from 4 commune-level administrative units: Tien Lu, Xuan Loi, Van Quan, Dong Ich communes of Lap Thach district; Lap Thach 2 commune was renamed Thai Hoa commune, established from 3 commune-level administrative units: Bac Binh, Thai Hoa, Lien Son of Lap Thach district.
Lap Thach 3 commune was renamed Lien Hoa commune, established from 3 commune-level administrative units: Hoa Son town and Lien Hoa and Ban Gian communes of Lap Thach district; Lap Thach 4 commune was renamed Hop Ly commune, established from 3 commune-level administrative units: Ngoc My, Quang Son, Hop Ly of Lap Thach district.
Tam Dao 1 commune was renamed Dai Dinh commune, established from 2 commune-level administrative units: Dai Dinh town and Bo Ly commune of Tam Dao district; Tam Dao 2 commune was renamed Dao Tru commune, established from 2 commune-level administrative units: Dao Tru commune and Yen Duong commune of Tam Dao district.
Tam Duong 1 commune was renamed Hoi Thinh commune, established from 3 commune-level administrative units: Duy Phien, Hoi Thinh, Thanh Van of Tam Duong district; Tam Duong 2 commune was renamed Hoang An commune, established from 3 commune-level administrative units: An Hoa, Hoang Dan, Hoang Lau of Tam Duong district; Tam Duong 3 commune was renamed Tam Duong Bac commune, established from 3 commune-level administrative units: Dong Tinh, Hoang Hoa of Tam Duong district and Tam Quan commune of Tam Dao district.
Vinh Tuong 1 commune was renamed Vinh Hung commune, established from 3 commune-level administrative units: Nghia Hung, Yen Lap, Dai Dong communes of Vinh Tuong district; Vinh Tuong 2 commune was renamed Vinh An commune, established from 3 commune-level administrative units: Kim Xa, Yen Binh, Chan Hung communes of Vinh Tuong district.
Vinh Tuong 3 commune was renamed Vinh Phu commune, established from 4 commune-level administrative units: Ngu Kien, An Nhan, Vinh Thinh, Vinh Phu communes of Vinh Tuong district; Vinh Tuong 4 commune was renamed Vinh Thanh commune, established from 3 commune-level administrative units: Sao Dai Viet, Lung Hoa, Tan Phu communes of Vinh Tuong district.
Yen Lac 1 commune was renamed Lien Chau commune, established from 3 commune-level administrative units: Dai Tu, Hong Chau, Lien Chau communes of Yen Lac district; Yen Lac 2 commune was renamed Tam Hong commune, established from 3 commune-level administrative units: Tam Hong town, Yen Phuong, Yen Dong communes of Yen Lac district; Yen Lac 3 commune was renamed Nguyet Duc commune, established from 4 commune-level administrative units: Nguyet Duc, Van Tien, Trung Kien, Trung Ha communes of Yen Lac district.
Binh Xuyen commune was renamed Binh Nguyen commune, established from 4 commune-level administrative units: Huong Canh town and Tam Hop, Quat Luu, Son Loi communes of Binh Xuyen district; Binh Xuyen 1 commune was renamed Xuan Lang commune, established from 4 commune-level administrative units: Thanh Lang town, Dao Duc town and Tan Phong, Phu Xuan communes of Binh Xuyen district.
Binh Xuyen 2 commune was renamed Binh Xuyen commune, established from 3 commune-level administrative units: Gia Khanh town and Huong Son and Thien Ke communes of Binh Xuyen district; Binh Xuyen 3 commune was renamed Binh Tuyen commune, established from 2 commune-level administrative units: Trung My commune and Ba Hien town of Binh Xuyen district.
Phuc Yen 1 Ward was renamed Xuan Hoa Ward, established from 4 communes and wards: Xuan Hoa Ward, Dong Xuan Ward and Cao Minh and Ngoc Thanh Communes of Phuc Yen City.
Previously, Vinh Phuc province had deployed the work of collecting public opinions on the Project on arranging communal-level administrative units in 2025 of Vinh Phuc province, which was implemented in a democratic manner, following the correct procedures and regulations, creating high consensus among the people.
However, there are still some opinions that people wish and propose that competent authorities research and name 23/36 units with proposed names associated with serial numbers in the direction of linking with the historical and cultural traditions of the locality.
With the spirit of seeking information and listening to people's opinions, the Standing Committee of Vinh Phuc Provincial Party Committee issued Official Dispatch No. 3576, dated April 22, on the implementation of asking for people's opinions on the names of commune-level administrative units after the merger.
Based on the proposals of localities; the results of collecting voters' opinions and the unanimous agreement of the People's Councils at the commune and district levels, the Executive Committee of the Vinh Phuc Provincial Party Committee submitted a draft Resolution on adjusting the names of 25/36 commune-level administrative units after the rearrangement and was approved by the Standing Committee of the Vinh Phuc Provincial Party Committee.
