VNG won double AI Awards 2025

DNVN - VNG was named in the two most important categories of the Vietnam Artificial Intelligence Award 2025 thanks to its outstanding contributions to the community and effective application of artificial intelligence.

Top 3 Outstanding AI Enterprises honored GreenNode Joint Stock Company (a member of VNG Corporation) and Top 3 Outstanding AI Solutions were also recognized for VNG Cloud AI Stack.

Artificial Intelligence (AI) is becoming a new growth engine for the global economy and Vietnam is no exception. Technology companies are accelerating for a wave that is considered to be the strongest and most likely to change the world ever.

According to the World AI Index Survey 2025, Vietnam currently ranks 6th out of 40 countries in terms of AI readiness and application – among the top 10 countries globally. The national AI strategy aims to create 5 regional AI brands, a national HPC center, and reach the top 60 countries in the world by 2030.

Along with infrastructure investment and expanding international cooperation, developing sovereign AI is a consistent strategic goal that Vietnam is aiming for.

Investing in international standard infrastructure is considered a prerequisite to help approach global technology trends. However, for GreenNode, the focus on sustainable AI development lies in the R&D strategy, typically the development of the first Vietnamese LLM model in Vietnam on the NVIDIA NIM platform, as well as data management solutions to help businesses solve the problem of fragmented data, synthesizing and processing on a large scale, while strictly complying with domestic laws and regulations”, emphasized Mr. Vu Thanh Tung, GreenNode Product Director.

Right before the AI ​​Awards 2025 ceremony, at the NVIDIA AI Day Ho Chi Minh City event (September 23), a leading regional event organized by NVIDIA to connect the global AI ecosystem, GreenNode launched GreenMind, the first open-source LLM inference model specialized for Vietnamese. GreenMind is integrated on NVIDIA NIM - a platform that gathers internationally standardized AI models for businesses, developed by NVIDIA.

“From the very beginning, we have cherished the aspiration to bring the Vietnamese language model to the same level as the world's major models such as Mistral, Claude... GreenMind's recognition on NVIDIA NIM is a recognition of GreenNode's efforts in researching and developing native AI. Not only GreenMind, we believe that with the potential and high-quality human resources in Vietnam, in the near future there will be more 'Made in Vietnam' models with breakthrough marks and widely recognized in the region,” Mr. Tung added.
