Speaking to reporters on the morning of November 14, a representative of the Ho Chi Minh City University of Industry and Trade said that the number of admitted candidates who used IELTS in the past two years is about 1,000 students. The school will review and notify students in writing as soon as possible. Regarding the handling method, the school is waiting for instructions from the Ministry of Education and Training.

The account holders said they had received emails from the British Council and IDP informing them of a "technical problem" that caused confusion in the Reading and Listening test scores.
The email stated that affected candidates can choose to have their exam fees (more than 4.6 million VND) refunded or retake the exam for free. The deadline to confirm is before May 2026.
