Mui Ne Flying Sand Dunes Scenic Area Encroached: Enforced eviction of more than 66,000 square meters of encroached land

Thousands of square meters of land encroached upon by individuals who illegally built a series of permanent structures in the scenic area of ​​Mui Ne flying sand dunes (Lam Dong province) will be forcibly evicted.

On November 6, the People's Committee of Mui Ne Ward (Lam Dong Province) announced that it had issued a notice to enforce the decision to enforce and enforce remedial measures against Ms. Nguyen Thi Thu Thao and Ms. Nguyen Thi Thuy Trang (both residing in Lam Dong Province), according to Decisions No. 1174/QD-CCXP and 1175/QD-CCXP issued by the Chairman of the People's Committee of Binh Thuan Province (formerly) on June 20, 2025.

The two individuals mentioned above were determined to have violated administrative regulations in the field of land, according to Decree 91/2019/ND-CP of the Government , due to using land for the wrong purpose and constructing illegal works. The People's Committee of Binh Thuan province (formerly) issued decisions requiring remedial measures. However, up to now, the parties have not voluntarily complied.

According to the announcement, the Enforcement Board for Remedial Measures will carry out enforcement within 3 days (from November 10 to 12, 2025). The authorities will demolish the violating construction, remove all plants on the land, move assets out of the violating land and hand over the land area to the People's Committee of Mui Ne Ward for management.

From December 2022 to present, SGGP Newspaper has continuously reported on the fact that more than 73,000 square meters of land in the area bordering the famous Mui Ne flying sand dunes were illegally encroached upon and transferred by 3 subjects, who brazenly built a series of solid structures. After that, the Standing Committee of Binh Thuan Provincial Party Committee (formerly) requested the Standing Committee of Phan Thiet City Party Committee (formerly) to direct relevant units to inspect and clarify the information reported by SGGP Newspaper.

After consolidating the dossier, on October 16, 2025, the People's Committee of Mui Ne Ward organized enforcement and restored the original state of nearly 7,500m2 encroached by Mr. Lai Thien Phuoc. The remaining area of ​​more than 66,000m2 of land encroached by Ms. Trang and Ms. Thao will be enforced during the above-mentioned time.
