Colonel Do Hong Duyen, Deputy Political Commissar of Region 2, presented flowers to congratulate the ao dai performance teams.
The program is an opportunity for female cadres and members of agencies and units to exchange experiences, strengthen solidarity, and at the same time honor the beauty of the Vietnamese Ao Dai - a cultural symbol and traditional charm of Vietnamese women. The activity also contributes to preserving and spreading national cultural values, towards the Women's Congresses at all levels in the Region, Service, Army and the 14th National Women's Congress.
The highlight of the series of activities is the 2025 "Ao Dai by the Waves" Photo Contest. After 4 weeks of launching, the Organizing Committee has received more than 150 entries from female members of agencies and units under the Region, Navy units in the Southern region and sister units. The works closely follow the theme, vividly depicting the image of Navy women in Ao Dai in the middle of the sea and sky of the Fatherland - on ships, stations, islands, DK1 platforms; depicting the beauty of women who are both gentle and resilient at the forefront of the wind and waves.

After the preliminary round, 40 excellent works were selected for the final round and voted online on the Facebook group "Vung Tau Sea Sings". In just 1 week, the contest attracted more than 1,000 interactions, creating a positive effect, spreading the image of dedicated, brave, and patriotic female Navy members.
Speaking at the program, Colonel Do Hong Duyen acknowledged and praised the efforts and constant, silent contributions of the cadres and women's union members of Region 2 in particular, and the Navy women in general. The Deputy Political Commissar emphasized: "It is the dedication, thoughtfulness, ingenuity and responsibility of the comrades that have contributed to building a strong Women's Union organization, contributing to building a strong, comprehensive, exemplary and typical unit."
He believes that, with the spirit of "Confidence - Self-respect - Loyalty - Responsibility", women of Navy Region 2 will continue to promote the fine traditions of women in the Army, strive to achieve more outstanding achievements, and deserve to be "good at national affairs and good at housework".
One of the special contents of the exchange program was the Ao Dai performance by more than 170 women from the Women's Association of Southern Navy units and sister units, with the theme: "Continuing the story of peace - Coming to me, the Vietnamese people", carrying the message of the desire for peace, love for the homeland, country and national pride.

The vibrant Ao Dai performance by more than 170 women from the Women's Association of Southern Navy units and sister units left many emotions for the audience.
At the end of the program, the Organizing Committee awarded 16 prizes to individuals who achieved achievements in the "Ao Dai by the Waves" Photo Contest - concluding a meaningful and emotional festival, where the beauty of women of Navy Zone 2 shined with the traditional Ao Dai of Vietnamese women.
