Workshop "Connect - Connect"

Nhiếp ảnh và Đời sốngNhiếp ảnh và Đời sống14/03/2025

(NADS) - Water puppetry – a unique art form of Vietnam, where vivid wooden puppets tell stories on the water, has been associated with folk cultural life for hundreds of years. But have you ever wondered: How are these puppets created?

With the desire to bring the art of water puppetry closer to the public, especially the youth, the project Nha Cua Teu organizes the workshop "Connection - Puppetry" - a space to both learn about the art of water puppetry and to create your own puppets.

The workshop includes two main experience areas:

- Connection – Exhibition space and exchange with water puppet artists. Participants will have the opportunity to learn about the origin and development of water puppetry through visual materials, and listen to stories from those who are preserving this art.

- Puppet Making – Experience crafting and decorating wooden puppets under the guidance of dedicated artisans. This is an opportunity for participants to unleash their creativity, paint and turn rough puppets into unique works with their own personal touch.

Not simply an experiential activity, "Connection - Intertwinement" is also an invitation for art-loving souls to return to traditional values, finding the connection between the past and the present.

No matter who you are – a folk culture lover, a young artist looking for inspiration or simply someone curious about trying something new – this is an opportunity not to be missed.
