(NADS) - Water puppetry – a unique art form of Vietnam, where lively wooden puppets tell stories on the water's surface – has been intertwined with folk culture for hundreds of years. But have you ever wondered: How are these puppets made?
With the desire to bring the art of water puppetry closer to the public, especially young people, the Teu's House project is organizing the "Connect - Create Puppets" workshop – a space to both learn about the art of water puppetry and create your own puppets.
The workshop consists of two main experiential areas:
- Connect – An exhibition and interaction space with water puppetry artisans. Participants will have the opportunity to learn about the origins and development of water puppetry through visual materials, and listen to stories from those who are preserving this art form.
- Puppet Making – Experience crafting and decorating wooden puppets under the dedicated guidance of skilled artisans. This is an opportunity for participants to unleash their creativity, paint and transform raw puppets into unique works of art bearing their personal touch.
More than just an experiential activity, "Connecting - Tugging" is also an invitation for art lovers to return to traditional values and find a connection between the past and the present.
No matter who you are – a folklore enthusiast, a young artist seeking inspiration, or simply someone curious to try something new – this is an opportunity not to be missed.
