In 2025, Y Ty commune plans to plant 50 hectares of ginseng (Hoang sin co). From the beginning of 2025 to now, people in Y Ty commune have planted 73.6 hectares of ginseng, an increase of nearly 24 hectares, reaching 147.3% of the plan.

Compared to 2024, the area of ​​ginseng in Y Ty commune in 2025 increased by 49.3 hectares (2.7 times higher than the previous year).

The ginseng planting season is usually from January to the end of the third lunar month every year.

It is known that in recent years, the area of ​​​​planting ginseng in Y Ty commune has been unstable and has tended to decrease. In 2021, 84 hectares were planted ; in 2022, 28 hectares were planted; in 2023, 19.5 hectares were planted; in 2024, 27 hectares were planted. The main reason is that the price of ginseng is unstable and the output is difficult.

Ground ginseng is suitable for the soil and climate of the highlands of Y Ty commune, yielding about 15 tons/ha.

However, the area of ​​ginseng in 2025 of Y Ty commune increased sharply because recently, ginseng had a good harvest and good price, people expanded the planting area, concentrated in the villages: Hong Ngai, Phan Can Su, Trung Chai, Phin Ho...
