Guidelines for implementing criteria for evaluating laboratory quality levels

On May 27, the Provincial General Hospital coordinated with the Center for Medical Laboratory Quality Control (Hanoi Medical University) to organize a training course on "Guidelines for implementing criteria for assessing the quality level of medical laboratories".

The training course was attended by 42 trainees who are staff of medical units in the province. The training course took place from May 27 to 29.

During the training course, trainees were introduced by lecturers of the Center for Medical Testing Quality Control ( Hanoi Medical University) about criteria for assessing the quality level of medical laboratories; management of purchasing equipment, supplies, chemicals and biological products; organization and management of laboratories; management of the testing process (before and after testing); management of documents and records; management of the testing process (during testing); human resource management...

Students who complete the training course will be granted a certificate of participation in continuous medical knowledge update in medical examination and treatment according to regulations by the Center for Medical Testing Quality Control.

The criteria for assessing the quality level of medical laboratories are used to assess the quality level of medical laboratories, as a tool for laboratories to assess compliance with current regulations on quality management and to carry out activities to maintain and improve laboratory quality. Thereby, gradually improving the quality of medical testing to ensure accurate, timely, standardized test results, serving as a basis for interconnection, recognition of test results, reducing inconvenience and costs for patients and saving social resources, while integrating into the network of testing quality control in the region and the world .

These criteria are applied in medical examination and treatment facilities; medical facilities that perform testing for medical examination and treatment must self-assess and publicly announce the testing quality level; competent state agencies must assess, monitor and announce the testing quality level of the laboratory.
