Nearly 11,000 candidates registered for the 10th grade high school entrance exam

As of 6:00 a.m. on May 27, the whole province had 10,863 grade 9 students registered to take the 10th grade entrance exam for the 2025-2026 school year. Compared to the enrollment target of 9,760 students, the registration rate reached 111.3%.

The locality with the highest number of students registering for the exam is Lao Cai city: 2,612 students.

Secondary schools in Lao Cai city are actively guiding students to register on the 10th grade admission software, especially for those who want to change their wishes to Bac Cuong Secondary and High School (Lao Cai city).

In terms of enrollment rate compared to the assigned quota, Muong Khuong district achieved the highest rate of 134.2% (1,107 students registered for the exam, while the enrollment quota was only 825 students). Next was Lao Cai city with 120.2% (2,566 students registered for the exam, the enrollment quota was 2,135 students); Bao Thang district with 114% (1,260 students registered for the exam, the enrollment quota was 1,105 students)...

Among 38 specialized, non-specialized and boarding high schools (not including Bac Cuong Secondary and High School), the Provincial Boarding Ethnic High School and Muong Khuong Secondary and High School for Ethnic Minorities have the highest "competition" ratio of 1:3. Specifically, the Provincial Boarding Ethnic High School has 529 registered students, enrolling 175 students; Muong Khuong Secondary and High School for Ethnic Minorities has 208 registered students, enrolling 70 students.

Review work for grade 10 is being actively carried out by schools.

The Departmentof Education and Training's enrollment software system for 32 schools in districts and towns has closed, ending the time for candidates to adjust their wishes at 5:00 p.m. on May 26.

For 6 schools in Lao Cai city (Ethnic Boarding High School, Lao Cai Specialized High School, Lao Cai City High School No. 1, Lao Cai City High School No. 2, Lao Cai City High School No. 3 and Lao Cai City High School No. 4), the Department of Education and Training has adjusted the enrollment registration deadline on the enrollment system to 5:00 p.m. on May 28, 2025 to match the enrollment time of the newly established school, Bac Cuong Secondary and High School. Thus, students who have submitted their applications to high schools in Lao Cai city can adjust, add their wishes or withdraw their applications to register for enrollment at Bac Cuong Secondary and High School according to the above time.

The 10th grade entrance exam in Lao Cai province will take place from June 3 to 6.
