According to the forecast of Lao Cai Province's Hydrometeorological Station, tonight and tomorrow (May 28), localities in the province will have cloudy skies with scattered rain, moderate rain and thunderstorms, and sunny days.

Tonight and tomorrow, due to the influence of the southwest edge of the continental high pressure tongue strengthening, the weather in localities in the province will be cloudy, with scattered rain, moderate rain and thunderstorms, sunny days, level 2 southeast wind, cold at night and morning in highlands, and freezing in some places.

Low mountainous areas ( including Bao Yen, Bao Thang, Van Ban districts and some lowland communes of Bat Xat and Muong Khuong districts) : Cloudy, with scattered showers and thunderstorms, light winds, temperatures from 25 - 28 degrees Celsius, average humidity above 85%.

High mountainous areas ( including Bat Xat, Muong Khuong, and Simacai districts) : Cloudy, with scattered showers and thunderstorms, Southeast wind level 2, cold at night and early morning, temperature from 18 - 23 degrees Celsius, average humidity above 90%.

Lao Cai City : Cloudy, sometimes rainy, showers and thunderstorms, light wind, temperature from 25 - 28 degrees Celsius, average humidity above 85%.

Sa Pa tourist area: Cloudy, sometimes rainy, showers and thunderstorms, light wind, cold at night and early morning, temperature from 16 - 20 degrees Celsius, average humidity above 90%.

Bac Ha tourist area: Cloudy, sometimes rainy, showers and thunderstorms, Southeast wind level 2, cold at night and early morning, temperature from 18 - 23 degrees Celsius, average humidity above 90%.

Widespread thunderstorms are likely to be accompanied by extreme weather events such as hail, tornadoes, strong winds and lightning. Therefore, local people, especially those in mountainous areas, need to be on guard against such natural disasters causing damage.
