Determining the cause of nearly 1,000 bottles of fish sauce being thrown away in Quang Nam

On June 23, the Economic Police Department of Quang Nam Province Police said it was coordinating with Thanh Hoa Province authorities to investigate the case of nearly 1,000 expired fish sauce bottles being thrown away on the side of the road in Tam Thai Commune, Phu Ninh District.

Previously, on the evening of June 18, people in Phuoc Loc village (Tam Thai commune) discovered a large number of fish sauce bottles dumped on a concrete road near the Phu Ninh irrigation canal. Upon inspection, the authorities recorded 950 bottles of fish sauce and dipping sauce with capacities ranging from 55ml to 5 liters, produced by Thanh Hoa Seafood Processing Joint Stock Company (located in Thanh Hoa city, Thanh Hoa province).

Authorities collect discarded fish sauce on the roadside to serve investigation

Initial investigation showed that Mr. NHT (residing in Tam Ky City, Quang Nam) hired two people, NPTV and VVN, to clear the warehouse and transport the fish sauce to the landfill for 400,000 VND. However, these two people did not take the product to the landfill but dumped it in Tam Thai commune.

Working with the police, Mr. T. confessed that he bought the above fish sauce, but because it had expired, he hired someone to take it away and dump it.

These fish sauce bottles come in 55ml, 1 liter to 5 liters.

Currently, the Economic Police Department of Quang Nam Provincial Police is continuing to verify and clarify the case.
