For Dong Nai , a province with a large number of private enterprises, the issue of building an ecosystem for local enterprises, connecting strengths to exploit each other's advantages, thereby creating competitiveness for the province's products is also a solution being implemented.
Connecting businesses - increasing business advantages
In recent years, small and medium enterprises in Vietnam in general and Dong Nai in particular have tended to gather into communities to help each other develop business, consume each other's products, bringing higher efficiency.
Diep Nam Phuong Investment Joint Stock Company (in Long Thanh commune) specializes in exporting, importing and processing stainless steel for industrial production, construction, medical and food. Currently, the company's products are sold to many enterprises in the province. Mr. Nguyen Huu That, Director of the company, shared: Dong Nai has a lot of potential for enterprise development, especially in the fields of supporting industry, processing and manufacturing. To strengthen the community, enterprises in the province need to strengthen connections and cross-use each other's products and services. This both ensures product output and strengthens connections, support and cooperation for mutual development.
According to Dong Nai Statistics, by mid-October 2025, Dong Nai had nearly 109,700 private enterprises registered on the National Business Registration Information System. Including nearly 79,500 enterprises and more than 30,200 branches, representative offices, and business locations with a total registered capital of about 783,300 billion VND.
Using each other's products and services has helped businesses strive to innovate comprehensively, from technology, research and application of scientific and technical advances in production and business to expanding production scale, improving designs, and enhancing service and product quality. From there, increasing competitiveness in the market.
Mr. Dang Quoc Nghi, Chairman of Dong Nai Young Entrepreneurs Association, said: For many years, the association has had a program to encourage members to use each other's products and services. In addition, the association also regularly organizes programs to visit members and connect directly with factories so that businesses in the association can learn and expand cooperation opportunities.
Dong Nai and Ho Chi Minh City are adjacent localities with the largest concentration of industry in the country, creating an environment and conditions for enterprises to form and develop, especially those in the supporting industry sector. When enterprises of the two localities connect with each other, cooperate and use each other's products, goods and services or cooperate to fulfill common orders, it will create more competitiveness for the products of the enterprises. The Ho Chi Minh City Association of Supporting Industries (HASI) and the Dong Nai Enterprise Federation have implemented many cooperation programs.
HASI Chairman Vo Son Dien said: Expanding cooperation and creating an environment for businesses in the same industry to have the conditions to connect with each other is very important. This overcomes the situation of dispersion and heavy dependence on imported components, thereby gradually forming a complete supporting industrial ecosystem.
Need to move towards building business "ecosystems"
Mr. Nguyen Duy Khuong, Vice President of Dong Nai Young Entrepreneurs Association, said: The Association is aiming to build a dynamic regional network, helping businesses in the province not only develop individually but also together create collective strength.
To exploit potential and opportunities, in the coming time, the association proposed that the province develop the 4.0 Logistics Corridor associated with Long Thanh International Airport, standardize the connection between warehouses - ICDs - ports and apply digital technology in the supply chain. Establish the Dong Nai Young Industry Cluster Alliance in potential fields such as: food, pharmaceuticals, supporting industries, logistics, education and digital healthcare, aiming to standardize products and expand exports. At the same time, encourage the construction of "made in Dong Nai" value chains, where young enterprises are the core in the production, distribution and commercialization of local specialty products.
In addition to the Young Entrepreneurs Association, in Dong Nai, many professional associations have been developing and building their own connection strategies. For the wood industry, according to Mr. Nguyen Phuong, Vice President of the Dong Nai Wood and Handicraft Association (Dowa), enterprises, associations, and localities need to connect with each other to increase their internal strength. The wood industry has the potential to develop and expand export markets. The important thing is that in order to improve product quality, the Vietnamese wood industry needs to connect with local wood processing industry associations. These solutions will help wood production meet increasingly high world standards, help enhance the Vietnamese wood brand in the market, consolidate existing values, and equip new competitive values.
In the near future, Dong Nai Logistics Association will also announce its establishment and hold its first Congress. This meets the expectations of enterprises in the transportation, seaport, import and export support services industry, etc. in the province. Dong Nai is also adjusting the local logistics infrastructure development project to match the regional planning after the merger of Dong Nai - Binh Phuoc administrative boundaries, thereby making the best use of its existing advantages.
