The Department of Performing Arts in collaboration with the Center for Supporting Literary and Artistic Creation and relevant agencies and units organized a "Creative Camp for Authors Writing About Children". This creative camp is expected to be held in the third quarter of 2025 in Khanh Hoa province.
The creative camp is part of the project "Improving creative capacity and literary theory and criticism for the period 2022 - 2025, with a vision to 2030" approved by the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism and implemented by the Department of Performing Arts.

This is good news for theater writers, especially those who are passionate about children's topics - a field that has been seriously lacking good scripts in recent times. Playwright Vuong Huyen Co, who has had success with many children's plays at the Ho Chi Minh City Small Stage Drama Theater, shared: "Writing scripts for children is not easy, it must be simple, lively and rich ineducation and aesthetics. Hopefully, this writing camp will introduce many high-quality works to serve children's audiences."
The Department of Performing Arts said that the campers will be supported in terms of creative conditions, especially they will receive professional advice and criticism from experienced theorists, critics and stage directors, thereby helping to increase the ability to realize works on stage. "The creative camp not only aims to create good scripts, but also to build a professional creative force for children's theater" - People's Artist Xuan Bac, Director of the Department of Performing Arts, affirmed.
