Construction of small irrigation project model

On the morning of July 5, the Department of Agriculture and Rural Development of Khanh Hoa province organized a workshop to report on the results of building sample designs and typical designs for small irrigation works, in-field irrigation works and advanced irrigation, saving water in Khanh Hoa province. Representatives of units managing and operating irrigation works and localities across the province attended the workshop.

Here, the consulting unit presented an overview of the current policies on small-scale irrigation, intra-field irrigation and advanced water-saving irrigation; assessed the current status of intra-field irrigation, small-scale irrigation for irrigation and drainage and advanced irrigation models, saving water for crops in Khanh Hoa province and proposed sample designs, typical designs for small-scale irrigation works, intra-field irrigation and advanced, water-saving irrigation systems. Specifically, 3 design models were proposed including: Water storage ponds; concrete canals and advanced, water-saving irrigation systems.

At the workshop, delegates focused on contributing ideas for these designs, especially their suitability and effectiveness when implemented in practice in each locality across the province.

It is known that, implementing the direction of the province, the Department of Agriculture and Rural Development is building sample designs, typical designs for small irrigation works, intra-field irrigation and advanced irrigation, water saving in Khanh Hoa province to submit to the Provincial People's Committee for consideration, approval, and implementation in the province according to the provisions of law.
