On March 7, the Traffic Construction Investment Project Management Board (hereinafter referred to as the Traffic Board) sent a report to the Ho Chi Minh City People's Committee on preparations for the groundbreaking ceremony of the My Thuy intersection construction project - phase 3 (Thu Duc City, Ho Chi Minh City).
The My Thuy intersection construction project is divided into 3 investment phases. In phase 1, the project will build a flyover branch across the intersection in the direction of Ring Road 2, build an underpass in the direction of the left turn from Ring Road 2 to Cat Lai and build Ky Ha 3 bridge with a structure similar to the existing bridge.
In addition, the project to build underpasses under My Thuy bridge and Ky Ha 2 and Ky Ha 3 bridges; build a right turn from Nguyen Thi Dinh street to Ring Road 2...
In phase 2, the city will build My Thuy 3 bridge between My Thuy 1 and My Thuy 2 bridges to accommodate 6 lanes. Build Ky Ha 4 bridge on the right turn from Phu My to Cat Lai to accommodate two lanes for cars and two lanes for motorbikes. Build Ky Ha 4 bridge on the right turn from Phu My to Cat Lai to accommodate two lanes for cars and two lanes for motorbikes.
In phase 3, the project will build a flyover branch across the intersection in the direction of Ring Road 2 - right branch with a scale of 4 car lanes and build Ky Ha 3 bridge - right branch.
The total investment for the construction and installation of all three phases is 1,361 billion VND (of which phase 3 is 312 billion VND), with the Traffic Department as the investor. The compensation for site clearance is 1,624 billion VND, with the Thu Duc City People's Committee as the investor.
Regarding progress, the My Thuy intersection project has so far started construction of the packages in phase 1 and phase 2, of which some items have been completed and put into use. For phase 3 of the project, the investor will organize the groundbreaking ceremony on March 14.
The entire My Thuy intersection will be completed by April 2026.
According to the Traffic Department, the commencement of phase 3 marks an important step towards completing all construction items at the intersection. This is a concrete result of Ho Chi Minh City's efforts in overcoming difficulties, especially compensation and site clearance. This helps overcome the situation of prolonged construction delays, speeding up progress to complete the entire project by April 30, 2026.
