The Trade Union of Sangwoo Co., Ltd. (Southeast Economic Zone Trade Union) is a unit that has implemented the Collective Labor Agreement very well. Accordingly, the Company's Trade Union has grasped the thoughts and aspirations of the employees; persistently worked and negotiated with the employer to have a quality Collective Labor Agreement, contributing to taking care of the legitimate rights and interests of employees, building harmonious, stable and progressive labor relations.

Mr. Nguyen Dang Manh - Chairman of the Trade Union of Sangwoo Co., Ltd. said: The company's Collective Labor Agreement has been signed with many provisions higher than the provisions of the Labor Law, bringing practical benefits to employees. For example, the basic salary is 4,950,000 VND (regional regulations 4,160,000 VND). Allowances and support are also very good such as diligence allowance of 300,000 VND/person; responsibility allowance of 150,000 VND or more; seniority allowance from 50,000 - 250,000 VND; shift meals of 20,000 VND/person/day.

In addition, based on the specific cultural factors of Vietnamese people and legal regulations, the Collective Labor Agreement of Sangwoo Company Limited also stipulates other provisions such as: Tet bonus, 13th month salary is 1 month of social insurance salary; employees who get married or are sick are supported with 200,000 VND/person; employees who have work-related accidents, depending on the level, are supported from 200,000 - 1,000,000 VND/person/time...

Similar to the Sangwoo Company Union, the Kyungsing Company Union has also contributed to building and signing a collective labor agreement that benefits employees and creates stability for the enterprise. Ms. Tran Thi Huong - President of the Kyungsing Company Union said: The basic salary at the enterprise is 5 million VND (regional regulations 4,160,000 VND); phone allowance 200,000 - 500,000 VND/person; housing support 500,000 VND/person/month; gasoline support 300,000 - 2,000,000 VND/person; birthday gifts 250,000 VND; wedding gifts 500,000 VND; funeral condolences for employees are 2 million VND... In addition, employees in especially difficult circumstances are considered for support depending on the level and seniority of work.

A collective bargaining agreement is an agreement reached through collective bargaining and signed in writing by the parties. The content of the collective bargaining agreement must not be contrary to the provisions of law; it must be more beneficial to the employees than the provisions of law. The executive board of the grassroots trade union has the right to represent the employees in signing and supervising the implementation of the collective bargaining agreement.

On May 10, the Southeast Economic Zone Trade Union organized a ceremony to reward 10 collective labor unions of 10 enterprises in the economic zone. According to the Southeast Economic Zone Trade Union: The collective labor unions that were rewarded have the advantage of having outstanding salaries and allowances higher than the regional minimum wage. The benefits for employees are clearly defined, strictly implemented, and guaranteed according to the law. In many units, these benefits are even higher than those prescribed by law.

Participate in creating sustainable development

It is known that in recent years, the number of workers, laborers and enterprises in Nghe An industrial zones has been growing rapidly, with more than 150 enterprises in operation and more than 50,000 employees. Of these, 80 enterprises have trade unions with more than 40,000 union members. Currently, 58/80 grassroots trade unions have collective labor agreements; 10/58 collective labor agreements are classified as good; there are still many collective labor agreements that are formalistic, coping with and copying the law.

In reality, negotiating and signing a quality collective labor agreement is not easy. This comes from the fact that: Employers always have different views from employees. Employers want to reduce costs and increase profits. Employees want better working conditions, higher incomes, and other superior benefits.

On the other hand, with FDI enterprises, there are also language differences, difficulties in communicating and conveying the thoughts of workers to business owners. Along with that, there are also differences in corporate culture. Employers are often not satisfied with the working style of the majority of workers. These factors have significantly affected the agreement, negotiation and signing of the Collective Labor Agreement.

The quality of collective labor agreements depends largely on the knowledge, courage and participation of the trade union and trade union officials of the enterprise. The Chairman of a company's trade union shared: "Once, the company's leaders questioned me that, as the chairman of the trade union and also the head of the human resources department, receiving a salary from the company, why didn't I stand on the company's side but only knew how to fight for the rights of the workers? - With the "in the middle" position, the trade union official himself must be courageous, have solid knowledge, have skills, be persistent and skillful".

The responsibility and participation of enterprise union officials in building and signing the Collective Labor Agreement is reflected in firmly grasping the thoughts and aspirations of employees; clearly understanding the production and business situation of the enterprise; analyzing information and data about employees; mastering the laws related to employees' rights... From there, they can discuss with the employer about the practical benefits that the enterprise will receive when implementing the contents proposed by the Union; negotiating the provisions of the Collective Labor Agreement.

A good quality Collective Labor Agreement will help businesses attract and retain employees, prevent strikes and collective work stoppages in the context of increasingly difficult recruitment and human resource development. Conversely, superior provisions on wages and benefits codified in the Collective Labor Agreement will help employees gain more trust and stay with the business for a long time.

Ensuring workers' rights and improving working conditions will motivate workers to work harder, more responsibly, and more effectively... Signing a collective labor agreement has brought dual benefits to workers and employers.
