On April 25, in Hanoi, the Central Propaganda and Mass Mobilization Commission coordinated with the Central Party Office, the National Assembly Office, the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism, and the Vietnam Union of Literature and Arts Associations to organize a national conference to summarize 50 years of Vietnamese literature and arts after the country's reunification.

Speaking at the conference, comrade Nguyen Trong Nghia, Politburo member, Secretary of the Party Central Committee, Head of the Central Propaganda and Mass Mobilization Commission, affirmed: Vietnamese literature and art over the past 50 years have been a voice of gratitude for patriotic traditions, a bridge of national reconciliation, contributing to healing the wounds of war, creating new momentum and new strength for the nation.

He emphasized the pioneering role of artists in building a modern Vietnamese culture imbued with national identity, and proposed many breakthrough solutions such as institutional innovation, increased investment, international integration and development of the literary and artistic market.

"Through their works, the artists have sown the seeds of beauty, compassion and noble humanity, lighting the flame of patriotism, national pride and the aspiration to develop a prosperous and happy country," comrade Nguyen Trong Nghia emphasized.

At the conference, many presentations from writers, poets, artists and managers focused on evaluating the outstanding achievements of Vietnamese literature and art over the past 50 years.

Poet Nguyen Quang Thieu, Chairman of the Vietnam Writers Association , affirmed that after 1975, Vietnamese literature became richer than ever thanks to the convergence of many cultural currents; at the same time, he acknowledged that the renovation period opened a period of vibrant development, diverse in style and creative trends.

Head of the Propaganda and Mass Mobilization Department of the Ho Chi Minh City Party Committee Nguyen Manh Cuong also shared that Ho Chi Minh City has constantly strived to overcome difficulties, developing literature and art into an important part of modern urban cultural life, integrating internationally but still imbued with national identity.

The conference unanimously recognized that the country is entering a new era, requiring Vietnamese literature and art to constantly innovate and create. Each artist and each genuine work will continue to contribute to the development of national values, cultural values, family values ​​and standards of Vietnamese people in the new era.
