This story is causing a stir in the UK. The painting depicts a little girl wearing a red dress, which was donated to a charity shop to raise money for charity activities.

The store is run by the non-profit Hastings Advice & Representation Centre and is located in the town of St Leonards-on-Sea (UK).

Recently, the store posted a piece of paper on the painting, which read: "The little girl has returned. This painting has been sold twice and returned both times. Are you brave enough to buy this painting?"

It was this piece of paper that quickly attracted attention and was mentioned a lot on British social networks. Reporters from several news outlets then went to the charity shop to verify the information. The store manager confirmed that the information circulating around the painting was true.

The store manager added that the customers returned the painting because they felt the girl’s eyes were following them around the room, making them feel psychologically uncomfortable. Both customers who had purchased the painting eventually returned it to the store.

Previously, this painting was donated to the store by a middle-aged man along with several other paintings. Both buyers of this donated painting were women and they both returned the painting with a somewhat fearful and worried expression.

This prompted the store manager to decide to share authentic information about the painting, so that future buyers could consider carefully whether they really wanted to buy this piece to hang in their home.

After the painting was mentioned on social media and in British news for several days, the second woman who bought the painting and then returned it decided to... return to the store to buy the painting this week.

The woman saw the attention the painting received and changed her mind and wanted to own it again.

The store manager said: "The second woman who bought the painting was initially apprehensive, but then she saw the attention the painting was getting on social media and in the news, so she changed her mind because she thought the painting must have increased in value because it was more well-known.

She quickly contacted us again to buy the painting. This time, the woman insisted that she would not be afraid anymore and that if she was afraid, she would endure it. She also asked if she could buy the painting, but leave it in the shop. But that was not possible, so she took the painting away."

When the painting was donated to the store, the donor did not provide any information about the painting, such as the identity of the artist or the identity of the girl appearing in the painting.
