Madam Pang is trying her best to keep FAT from going bankrupt.

On the afternoon of April 23, Madam Pang posted a photo of herself being hospitalized. "It's really not okay at all," the head of the Football Association of Thailand (FAT) wrote on his personal page.

In the comment section, many Thai fans sent their best wishes to Madam Pang. More than anyone, Thai fans understand that the billionaire born in 1966 is wholeheartedly fighting for the rights of FAT, when the highest organization of Thai football is facing difficulties.

Due to the complications from the term of President Somyot Pumpanmuang (Madam Pang's predecessor), FAT owes Siam Sport Media Group 360 million baht (nearly 300 billion VND) due to unilateral termination of the contract. According to the Thai court's ruling, for every day FAT is late in paying this debt, they will be charged an additional interest of 50,000 baht (nearly 38 million VND).

According to Thai media, Madam Pang is doing everything she can to pay off FAT's debt. She spent 25 million baht (about 20 billion VND) of her own money as a deposit for Siam Sport Syndicate Co., Ltd., to help FAT avoid having its assets frozen.

She also launched the “Thais love Thai football” campaign to help FAT raise funds to pay off its debt. However, the campaign failed because Thai fans criticized the T-shirts used to raise funds for being too ugly and unattractive, according to Thairath .

"These shirts were introduced in the match where Thailand won 1-0 against Sri Lanka, which took place on March 25 in the first match of the 2027 Asian Cup 3 qualifying round. However, after being criticized by fans for having an ugly design, Madam Pang and her team promised to redesign a new shirt and will launch it for sale to fans on March 31.

But this plan did not come to fruition, due to the earthquake in Thailand, everything had to be postponed. Until now, Madam Pang's campaign to sell shirts to raise money to help FAT pay off its debt has also fallen into a deadlock," Thairath added.

Previously, in early April, Madam Pang came to Vietnam to watch the match between Vietnam U17 women's team and Thailand U17 women's team. She shared: "I would like to congratulate the Vietnam women's team for participating in the 2023 Women's World Cup in Australia and New Zealand. That reminds me of my memories as Head of the Thai women's team, accompanying them at 2 World Cups in Canada and France.

That is why I feel the pride of the fans, from Thailand to Vietnam, every time we have representatives participating in the world tournament. I believe that with the passion, investment and ambition, football in particular and sports in general of Vietnam and Thailand will promote development, towards greater success in the future."
