According to Directive 15/CT-TTg on strengthening compliance with legal regulations on prices recently issued, the Prime Minister requested to strengthen the inspection of compliance with legal regulations on prices to ensure that relevant agencies, organizations and individuals comply with legal regulations, ensuring objectivity and transparency. Timely detect and prevent violations of legal regulations on prices and unreasonable price increases. Strictly handle cases of price manipulation of goods and services, inflated selling prices... Thereby, contributing to controlling inflation, stabilizing the macro economy , supporting economic growth and development.
In particular, focusing on inspection and examination of compliance with legal regulations on price declaration and price posting, strictly handling violations according to legal regulations such as incorrect declaration of selling prices, failure to declare prices to competent state agencies, failure to post prices or posting unclear prices of goods and services causing confusion for customers; selling at prices higher than the listed prices...
In addition, regarding state pricing, the Prime Minister directed the assignment and clear guidance on the authority and responsibility of units and organizations responsible for establishing, appraising and submitting pricing plans. Strictly comply with regulations on procedures for pricing, price adjustment, principles and methods of pricing to ensure that the prices of goods and services regulated by the State are consistent with the market price level and fluctuations in price forming factors.
For public services implementing the market price roadmap, the State-priced items (electricity, medical examination and treatment services, domestic air passenger transport services, textbooks, etc.) need to proactively review the price formation factors, carefully assess the impact on the socio-economy, and target inflation to have a plan to adjust prices in line with market price developments in accordance with regulations. The level and timing of adjustment need to be appropriate, avoiding causing cost-push inflation resonance, creating expected inflation for the economy.
The Directive also mentions promoting digital transformation in state management of prices, building and perfecting the national price database, creating favorable conditions for business organizations and individuals to declare prices transparently and effectively.
This is one of the Government 's efforts to ensure transparency and fairness in business activities, protect consumer rights and promote sustainable economic development.
