The Nung, Tay, Dao, and Mong people here still preserve the beauty of their lifestyle. The colorful hand-embroidered dresses in festivals; the cozy stilt houses and fireplaces; the sli, luon, pao dung, luon nang oi, luon phong thu, luon coi songs of the Tay and Nung people still resonate smoothly in daily life; the bowl dance, conical hat dance, and unicorn dance... take place in festivals and ceremonies; the props such as the Tinh lute and bamboo flute are always preserved by the people... all create a vivid cultural picture.

In particular, the Sli melody of the Nung people is a unique folk art form, expressing thoughts and feelings through smooth, profound lyrics. This is a National Intangible Cultural Heritage recognized by the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism.

Sli singing not only contributes to preserving the national cultural identity, but also connects generations, spreading love for the homeland and country through each simple but meaningful song. Maintaining and promoting the value of this art form in the community has created the lasting vitality of traditional culture in modern life.

In addition, the culture here is also expressed through folk games in traditional festivals such as grass-plowing, top-spinning, stilt-walking, blindfolded duck catching, goat catching, drumming... These are activities that connect the community, arouse the spirit of solidarity and the joy of simple life of the mountain people.

Every year, many unique festivals are held, becoming a meeting place for people from all regions to come and visit, including the Harvest Festival of the Dao people in Na Thac village, the Long Tong Festival of the Nung people in Na Chang, Na Tuong... all with the meaning of praying for favorable weather and bountiful crops.

In particular, the traditional cultural festival “Xuan Duong Love Market” taking place on March 25 (Lunar calendar) is a festival imbued with the cultural identity of the local people. Although it has been through hundreds of years, from the feudal society, through two resistance wars to the restoration of peace , the country's renovation, the festival is still maintained and preserved.

The love market originated from the story of a couple who loved each other but had to separate and could not live together. Moved by their love, the villagers agreed to let the former couple have a day to reminisce about the past and chose the long rice field (called Na Li or Na Ri in Tay and Nung languages) of the couple as the meeting place on March 25 (Lunar calendar).

Since then, Xuan Duong Love Market has gradually become a place for old lovers to meet and exchange with old friends, relatives and acquaintances. Along with cultural activities such as Sli singing and Phong Slu dancing, Xuan Duong Love Market also organizes many folk games and sells culinary dishes... giving visitors many unforgettable experiences.

Not only in festivals, cultural features are also strongly present in daily life. Traditional dishes such as mugwort cakes, ant egg cakes, sticky rice cakes, hand-pounded vermicelli, stone ginger sausage, smoked meat, khau nhuc, sour bamboo shoots, chili bamboo shoots, roast pork and roast duck with five-color sticky rice… are not only culinary specialties but also the crystallization of labor, creativity and national cultural identity through many generations.

Each dish has its own story and flavor, contributing to the unique culture of the local ethnic communities.
