On the way to the Rome Master final, No. 1 seed Jannik Sinner lost only 1 set to Tommy Paul in the semi-finals. In this match, Sinner was shocked by the American player when he took 2 break-points and won the first 5 games in a row in set 1. Despite his efforts, Sinner only recovered 1 winning game and had to give up with a score of 1-6. This was Sinner's first lost set at the Rome Open. However, that shock woke up the Italian player. Sinner vented his anger on his opponent by not giving Tommy Paul a chance to fight back in set 2 with an absolute victory of 6-0. In the deciding set 3, Tommy Paul fought back strongly when he took a break-point in game 5. Unfortunately, Sinner was even better with 2 break-points, thereby winning 6-3. The final victory was 2-1. Sinner entered the final to meet his "arch-rival" Carlos Alcaraz. However, in this match against an excellent Alcaraz, Sinner had to sadly watch his opponent win the championship.

As for Carlos Alcaraz, the journey to the Rome Open final of “Little Nadal” was not as smooth as Sinner. There were matches where he had to struggle to overcome his opponent, such as in the semi-final against Musetti. In this match, after winning easily 6-3 against Musetti, in the second set, Musetti played excellently, forcing the two to go into a tie-break. In the tense tie-break, Musetti lost 2 mini-breaks first but regained both later. At the most important moment, Alcaraz played surprisingly well and had 2 more mini-break points to win the second set with a score of 7-6, thereby overcoming his opponent to enter the final. In the final match against world No. 1 Sinner, Alcaraz showed that he was worthy of being the successor of the “King of Clay” when he defeated world No. 1 with a score of 2-0 after nearly 2 hours of play.

Returning to the final match, both players showed equal strength in the first set when Alcaraz and Sinner brought a tense match. Neither of them allowed their opponents to break their serve, forcing the first set to a tie-break. In the tense penalty shootout, Alcaraz was the better player, so "Little Nadal" won at the decisive moment. Winning the first set with a score of 7-6, Alcaraz was extremely excited entering the second set. In this set, "Little Nadal" "destroyed" his opponent with a score of 6-1 to win the Rome Master 2025 championship.

It can be affirmed that if tennis had Dojkovic and Nadal before, today there is Sinner and Alcaraz. With outstanding talent, both will continue to contribute to tennis fans many "super classics" in the future. Congratulations to the new Rome Master 2025 King: Alcaraz. But we cannot help but praise Sinner for this comeback.
