Yen Bai has focused on training, fostering and improving the quality of staff; coordinating to open classes to grant foreign language certificates, receptionists, chefs, improve soft skills, customer care... Tourist establishments have also proactively welcomed the peak season by actively renovating the landscape, cleaning the environment, urgently completing tourism infrastructure, renewing check-in points, and experiencing activities suitable for the summer...
At the Ao Xanh tourist site in Van Hoi commune, Tran Yen district, the hotter the days, the more crowded the visitors. For many years, with the attention, guidance and facilitation of local authorities and professional sectors, the Ao Xanh tourist site has increasingly expanded and developed in a professional direction. The plus point of this form of tourism is the low cost, bathing in the waterfall is only about 20,000 VND/adult, free for children; the cost of renting a hut to rest and eat for those in need ranges from 300,000 - 500,000 VND, with a capacity of 10 - 20 people/hut depending on the area.
Activities are also diverse from fishing, camping, picnicking, waterfall bathing, cuisine ... To prepare for the peak tourist season this summer, this facility has proactively renovated the landscape and environment, scrubbed moss at the waterfall entrances, renovated accommodation facilities, restaurants, planted more flowers and trees, and urgently completed the new beach and entrance.
Mr. Nguyen Van Son - Owner of Ao Xanh tourist site shared: "Since the road connecting IC12 intersection to Van Hoi commune was completed, our facility has been visited by more and more groups of tourists and families from other provinces. The number of visitors is even higher on hot summer weekends. Therefore, this year, we have opened more beaches and built more huts. We have also proactively linked with spiritual, ecological and experiential tourist sites in the commune to receive package tour contracts; ordered from some households to have a source of special, clean food, ensuring the needs of tourists to experience and enjoy".
In addition to existing tourism products, this summer, Yen Bai will launch agricultural tourism products with a number of new facilities and experiences. This will be a new experience for tourists who love resort tourism products but still have gentle activities. Tourists can choose to experience harvesting tropical fruits: dragon fruit, plum, mango, watermelon, melon... in the area known as "garden" in Nghia Lo town or harvest milk grapes on Thac Ba lake island in Tan Huong commune, Yen Binh district, combined with exploring the scenic Thac Ba lake, water games, experiencing a peaceful day at An Lanh Farm - Bach Ha commune, OmTara - Dai Dong commune...
Ms. Bui Thi Kieu - Owner of An Lanh Farm shared: "We chose May this year as the time to launch with the hope of becoming an attractive destination for families in the city who want to avoid the sun and cool off by experiencing life in the countryside. With 6 separate small houses, a space with lots of flowers and trees, spacious, airy, a diverse fruit garden, a clean chicken coop, this place will be very suitable for those in the city who have not had the opportunity to experience agriculture, especially children will love it. In addition, visitors can also experience the drinks and food products at the Farm from the products that the Farm grows, cares for or the products that visitors harvest themselves".
Along with completing preparations to welcome guests, tourism service businesses also actively ensure security and safety for tourists, especially at places with water activities. Service points publicly list prices, sell at the right price, avoid "rip-offs" to protect the rights and positive experiences of tourists.
With positive signals in the first months of 2025 and careful preparation for the summer tourist season, Yen Bai hopes for a successful and memorable tourist season.
In the first 4 months of 2025, Yen Bai province welcomed nearly 950,000 visitors, reaching 47.4% of the yearly plan and up 6% over the same period in 2024; revenue from tourism activities is estimated at VND 810 billion, equal to 47.7% of the yearly plan and up 13.7% over the same period in 2024. |
