Yen Binh is a special festival of Thac Ba Temple.

Yen Bai - Every January 9th, at the national historical and cultural relic of Thac Ba Temple, Yen Binh District, the Thac Ba Temple Festival is held, attracting a large number of people and tourists from all over to come and offer incense and pray for peace and luck. The festival has become a unique cultural beauty every early spring in the Chay River region, Yen Binh District.

The Thac Ba Temple Festival, held annually by Yen Binh District, not only preserves the spiritual and cultural beauty for people to pay their respects and remember the merits of their ancestors, but is also an opportunity to educate today's generations to appreciate and preserve the national cultural identity, creating a joyful and exciting atmosphere right from the beginning of the new year. With its affirmed historical, cultural and scientific values, Thac Ba Temple was ranked as a provincial-level cultural and historical relic by the People's Committee of Yen Bai province in 2004 and on June 18, 2021, the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism decided to recognize the temple as a national relic belonging to the Thac Ba Lake National Historical and Scenic Site. In 2023, Thac Ba Temple was recognized as a national-level historical and cultural relic by the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism.
