In the economic field, the whole commune has directed the people to harvest more than 420 hectares of crops, the average rice yield is 56 quintals/ha, the output is more than 1,200 tons; maintaining nearly 870 hectares of fruit trees, in which key crops such as mango, longan, plum, banana, coffee... continue to grow steadily. As of mid-October, the whole commune has consumed more than 6,500 tons of fresh fruit, bringing an estimated value of over 35 billion VND, contributing to raising the average income per capita to about 48 million VND/year. Livestock and aquaculture activities have developed stably; disease vaccination for livestock and poultry has been seriously implemented with more than 1,800 doses of vaccine in the month; models of large livestock and poultry farming and small pond fish farming continue to expand towards commodities.
Forest management and protection in Yen Chau commune has been seriously implemented, with many positive changes. The commune has maintained regular patrols and inspections in key areas, promptly detecting and preventing forest encroachment; preventing forest fires and illegal logging. Propaganda and mobilization work for people to participate in forest protection has been promoted through village meetings, loudspeakers and integrated into movements, thereby raising awareness and responsibility of the community in preserving forest resources. In addition, coordination with local forest rangers and village forest protection teams has been well implemented, contributing to maintaining forest security, ensuring ecological environment and sustainable development.
The National Target Program on new rural construction in the commune continues to be implemented synchronously, associated with socio-economic development and improving people's lives. The commune focuses on mobilizing resources to complete and upgrade essential infrastructure such as rural traffic, internal irrigation, schools, cultural houses; promoting landscape decoration, environmental sanitation, launching tree planting movements, building flower roads, contributing to creating a bright - green - clean - beautiful rural appearance. Production development and income improvement for people are focused on through support for plant and animal varieties, encouraging the construction of household economic models, cooperative economy. Cultural, educational , health and social security activities are ensured, the poverty rate continues to decrease. In particular, propaganda and mobilization work for people to participate in new rural construction is regularly deployed, creating consensus and joint efforts of the community.
In the financial and budgetary sector, total state budget revenue by the end of October reached more than VND8.4 billion, equal to 92% of the year's estimate; budget expenditures promptly ensured tasks of socio-economic development, national defense, security and social security.
The cultural and social fields received comprehensive attention. The education sector maintained stable operations at 7 schools with more than 3,100 students, ensuring discipline and improving teaching quality; the medical staff organized medical examinations and treatment for hundreds of people, preventing epidemics. During the month, the commune paid more than 250 million VND in subsidies for meritorious people and social protection, fully implementing social security policies.
Regarding national defense and security, the commune strictly maintains combat readiness, maintains political security and social order and safety; crime prevention and control work and social evils are effectively implemented.
In the coming time, Yen Chau commune will continue to direct people to take care of winter crops, provide guidance on pest control, and issue planting area codes for key agricultural products; promote the implementation of the new rural program, complete the criteria according to Decision No. 1897/QD-UBND dated September 13, 2022 of the Provincial People's Committee on promulgating the set of criteria for new rural villages and sub-areas; Regulations on model new rural villages in Son La province for the period 2022 - 2025 according to documents guiding the implementation of the set of criteria of departments and branches; strengthen administrative reform, prevent epidemics, ensure social security, maintain national defense and security, strive to comprehensively complete the socio-economic development targets in 2025.
