
Vietnam Railway Authority requests Vietnam Railway Corporation and Railway Joint Stock Companies, Railway Signal and Information Joint Stock Company to develop plans for preserving goods, transporting spare materials, transferring passengers, and fully preparing food, drinking water, medicine, and medical supplies in case trains have to stop due to floods.
These agencies and units continue to strictly implement the patrol and guard regime for vulnerable works, locations, and key areas such as bridges, tunnels, weak roads, and railway signal information works, ensuring smooth communication and serving train safety; areas prone to flash floods, steep mountain passes, rock falls, landslides, railway areas downstream of dikes, irrigation dams, reservoirs, etc.
Vietnam Railway Corporation and Railway Joint Stock Companies, Railway Signal and Information Joint Stock Company continue to focus on leadership, direction, and mobilization of all resources and means to resolutely and quickly overcome the consequences caused by floods and rains, ensuring construction safety and railway traffic safety.
For departments under the Vietnam Railway Authority, proactively monitor and coordinate with units in overcoming consequences caused by rain and floods; regularly update developments of rain and flood situations and damages caused by rain and floods (if any), promptly report to the Steering Committee for Natural Disaster Prevention and Search and Rescue of the Vietnam Railway Authority.
The Railway Safety Management Department promptly dispatched staff to participate in storm recovery work and coordinate to maintain railway security and order in the areas under their management. At the same time, strictly implement the on-duty regime according to regulations.
