On March 28th, the Food Safety Department ( Ministry of Health ) announced that it had issued Notice No. 556/TB-ATTP requesting a temporary suspension of the circulation of two food additives, butter flavor 1127 and coffee flavor 1312, effective from March 25th, 2025.

According to the requirements of the Food Safety Administration, Minh Kien Co., Ltd. must contact the manufacturer to implement corrective measures within 10 days...

Food additive: Butter flavor 1127 (Manufacturing date: 05/02/2025, Expiry date: 4/02/2026, Packaging and bottling date: 05/02/2025), quantity 16 kg (4 cans x 4 kg/can) distributed and quality-assured by Minh Kien Co., Ltd. (inspected facility). Address: 725/3 Truong Chinh Street, Tay Thanh Ward, Tan Phu District, Ho Chi Minh City.

The food additive Butter Flavor 1127 is packaged and bottled at the Minh Kien Import-Export Co., Ltd. Branch. Address: 354/16/12 National Highway 1A, Ward 3, Binh Hung Hoa B Ward, Binh Tan District, Ho Chi Minh City.

Food additive: Coffee Flavor 1312 (Manufacturing date: 10/01/2025, Expiry date: 9/01/2026, Packaging and bottling date: 10/01/2025), quantity 20kg (4 cans x 5kg/can) distributed and responsible for the product by the business entity (inspected facility) Minh Kien Co., Ltd. Address: 725/3 Truong Chinh Street, Tay Thanh Ward, Tan Phu District, Ho Chi Minh City.

The product was packaged and filled at the Minh Kien Import-Export Co., Ltd. Branch. Address: 354/16/12 National Highway 1A, Ward 3, Binh Hung Hoa B Ward, Binh Tan District, Ho Chi Minh City. The reason for the temporary suspension of circulation is a violation of regulations on product labeling.

The Food Safety Department requires Minh Kien Co., Ltd. to contact the manufacturer to implement corrective measures within 10 days. The aforementioned goods will only be allowed to continue circulating if the corrective actions have been satisfactory and the inspection agency issues a notice allowing the goods to continue circulating in the market.

The document from the Food Safety Department was sent to the Departments of Health of the provinces of Binh Thuan, Thai Nguyen, Bac Kan, Vinh Phuc, Phu Yen, Tuyen Quang, An Giang, Binh Phuoc, Nam Dinh, Nghe An, Bac Ninh, Ca Mau, Thai Binh, Lang Son, Bac Giang, Ben Tre, Dak Lak, Dong Nai , Ha Giang, Hau Giang, Lao Cai, and Tien Giang; the Ho Chi Minh City Food Safety Department; the Da Nang City Food Safety Management Board; and the Food Safety and Hygiene Sub-departments of provinces and centrally-administered cities for inspection and supervision in their respective areas.
